"Prediction Markets" are as close, historically, to the late stages of the Roman Empire (Christians to lions, gladiators killing each other for sport) as anything I've read about or seen in my lifetime... When the immorality and corruption (for which, read: "The Trump Family") penetrates this deep into the bone-marrow of our political and cultural system, it's probably way too late to pull it back from the brink.
The fact that this country has sunk so far that it needs to outlaw such deeply
immoral behavior in the first place; that such betting on death and disaster is even considered a valid business model is a sure sign of incurable decay...

I am so saddened by what has happened to America, and it all starts at the top. It is as if we are in a real life Running Man or Hunger Games series. Either way, America is being stripped of its humanity. And people participating in this ARE, in my estimation, bad people.
and people bitch about insider stock trading by those in the House and Senate. this is 1000x worse than that, and the insider trading is beyond disgusting. that such a thing would ever be allowed to be legal is truly disappointing and it is difficult to imagine that it will be reversed under this regime. besides being another way to extract wealth from the citizenry, that they are betting on deaths and destruction is just unreal. i parse through today's e-mails and am left feeling like i was just worked over by a couple of thugs with baseball bats. Prediction markets, Israel showing just what kind of ally they are (they do what they want and have forced/bribed/blackmailed the US to go along and shut our mouths) showing that they want to exterminate Iran the way they did the Palestinians in Gaza... all the while claiming this goal or that, their bombs speak louder than words... we get another member of trumps team so unqualified for his job that it defies belief... we continue to pull ugly facts out of the few Epstein papers that have been released, like dental surgery without anesthesia, we are destroying historic buildings in Washington, trump is having his face minted on gold coins, we are threatening Cuba while the middle east is literally blowing up in our faces... mr "no wars" and "reduce prices" now claims that high oil prices are "good for us" being careful not to define who the "us" is... all the while trying to kill off solar and wind energy that would lower electricity prices for Americans, all the while that deep red state of TX profits from those same technologies that allegedly do not wor... no one in congress has the spine to show up at a memorial for the kids we killed in Iran, we are passing laws forcing women who have miscarriages to save the discharge and send it to hospitals probably the police as well.. we are monitoring water supplies for signs of abortion medication under the guise of "protecting the water supply" as we all know that parts per billion of an abortion medication is far more dangerous than CO and CO2 in the air, than mercury (the elemental form from coal mining and burning, not the salt that the other idiot squawks about) and allowing round up back in the air, ground and water... supporting Russia openly in their war on Ukraine all the while Russia is supporting the alleged evil empire in Iran, helping to kill American soldiers, and the ongoing efforts to erase all our history other than the stuff that is a fairy tale and makes us look good, and finally, lets pull the licenses from every broadcasting company that dares to report the truth... and that is just what was in the e-mails this am... what have we come to?
