Regarding the stressed and overworked military: it’s not just the Navy. My son is an Army National Guard sergeant responsible for contracting to sustain local missions. He has been working 13-14 hour days, 7 days a week, since April, with no end in sight until his deployment ends on October. We are very concerned for his mental wellbeing.
And about the Gaza Board of Peace: countries paid billions to join - where is the money? Nobody knows.
Maybe it's in the same place as the billions that have been paid for the Venezuelan oil that the US has diverted and sold - also completely unaccounted for. (And that's when Venezuela is desperate for aid following its horrible earthquake. Trump does not seem to be in a hurry to give the country its own money back to help rebuild.)
So power and no control, but unceasing corruption.
So the Trump administration has their hands in all these potential projects. I don’t see anywhere where anybody is asking where the money is coming from for that. They just assume that we’re gonna cover it, meaning our general population? We already have a horrible debt. I doubt many people have an appetite having to spend more money on what may not be necessary or even desirable. So irritating. And offensive.
I believe one of the reconstruction tasks that will have to be done when this regime is vanquished is assign a group of experts to do a financial audit of all the suspect spending that has been happening. I believe Trump and his cronies have stolen millions, if not billions, so an audit would lead the way to clawing back these funds from the oligarchs, if not directly, then by a tax structure that would make yhem pay. Secondly, it would be a reminder to the public that they cannot allow MAGA to immediately change their tune when Dems get power, because we know they will suddenly become "concerned " about our debt and want to make cuts to more programs people need.

My heart goes with you and I can relate from when my Marine son served in Iraq. Peace be upon you
Very perceptive comments.

Point by bloody point, right on.

With Trump gone, I think most of Maga will fade into oblivion.
