I’m almost 70 and don’t drive much but this news immediately made me think about trading my newish, low-mileage, loan-free vehicle for a new hybrid. A symbolic flip of the bird even though I know fully that it would be the tiniest drop in the bucket. And not one fossil—fuel exec or politician would notice. But I might sleep better.
EV would be nice but I’m told I need to upgrade electric first. Which costs as much as the vehicle or more depending on the surprises my 100y/o house offers up.
The ignorance, arrogance and recklessness of this administration is unfathomable. We all know that the orange obscenity's brain is so far gone that he has no understanding of the damage this is doing for future generations, but what about the members of this administration that are currently begetting offspring that will populate the planet in future years. Will theyvbe scions of a toxic wasteland There is no such thing as 'valet breathing'
And yet Peter Thiel considers government action to control greenhouse gases and any attempt to mitigate climate change such a tyrannical horror equivalent to the End Times that he has called Greta Thuneberg the antichrist due to her activism for public action to save our planet. In his twisted mind that makes her responsible for any such future resulting tyranny by government which to him is Armageddon. And this man's surrogate is a heartbeat from the most powerful position in the world now held by a man who is already causing real future calamity.
