The chaos and incompetence of Trump's regime was not only predictable, it was predicted. That he was elected again, this time with the popular vote not just the electoral college, that the Republican party has completely surrendered to him in spite of his incompetence and the constitution they are sworn to defend, and the almost complete roll over by the Supreme Court (immunity for whatever) means that the world sees a rot that is much deeper than this regime. It didn't start with Trump, though he's clearly an accelerant — the Citizens United decision has fuelled this decay. We've seen the partial revelations from the Epstein files and understand that if this is what is public, there are far worse revelations to come. Add to this the purges in the military, civil service, FBI, DOJ to replace competence with loyalty, the appalling behaviour of ICE in American cities. He was duly elected. A choice. When he is gone, how can we go back to trusting the US to behave like a leader?

We, the USA, are in the midst of an unjust war by any definition: there is simply no moral purpose. The majority of our population do not support the war. The world views it correctly as illegitimate. Our friends and allies tell us in no uncertain terms, your war; your problem. And NATO predictably responds, not in our charter. We are in phase two of FAFO. I’m struck with the notion the only State “winner” is Israel.

I agree. I suspect a growing number of us hunger for the moment we can expunge Trump’s name and salt the ground upon he has treaded.
This is not Trump acting alone. ALL republicans in Congress are complicit. They, alone, could stop all this insanity today, but they refuse to do so.
