I love this comparison of the work that earthworms do and the death star destruction. I have long gardened and love earthworms. We have compost bins and we have a special worm bin where stuff like lettuce goes in the top. The worms eat it and we get liquid enriched by worms for use in the garden. Right now it is raining, thankfully, and I am sure the worms are enjoying it. I sure am.
Thank you for lightening my day. Filth is what we continue to receive from our administration. Dirt and earthworms and the community of our insects and for that matter the rest of all that lives in our backyards is completely the opposite. Pure, sweet, incredibly beautiful...even when we might at first glance say ewwww! Thank you for reminding me of this.
A beautiful musing today. Thank you. As I wander through my garden that is happily receiving the extra water in the misty air here in Ashland, I can see the evidence of their tunneled lives. I think they are happy in my dirt and strive to make it better for the plants that live above. Pity the Orange Guy only thinks of himself. His tunneled life could be so enhanced if only he would lift up his heavy head, open his eyes, and acknowledge the wonder of Nature...including the diversity of people, worms, horses, flowers, rainbows, etc etc etc. It might even put pep in his step. He might actually feel a positive feeling. I know, I ask for too much. He is lost. Evidence broadcast live on TV.
I used to own an earthworm farm. I had about 10 billion heads. They like to eat newsprint. I would read the day's disasters, then spread the paper over the beds, and by morning it would be gone. So would the news. For some odd reason, that felt good. Trump and earthworms are an interesting scenario. Earthworms eat all dead and decaying organic matter. But earthworms might have boundaries to that dead and decaying mass.

Maybe we need more earthworms in government!
