As heat rises, coverage shrinks, and ideology moves into the exam room, American healthcare is becoming the place where every national failure waits to be seen.
You've nailed it once again. It is hard to recognize my country. And I worry deeply about the nation my grandchildren are about to inherit. Meantime, a cool and cloudy morning greets the new month in inland southern Oregon. The garden looks good from my view on the couch. Bluejays are swarming the bird feeder that just got put out. We keep it in at night because of the bear that likes to knock it down and feast. The squirrels are waiting for the bits the jays knock out in their feeding frenzy. All is well and it feels like we may get a few drops of rain today. That will distract me from the political fray.
Thank you for another great piece of writing.
I triage your writing to "highest value".

Thank you, Shanley, for telling it like it is. I just keep hearing the refrain from that old song, Master Jack.
