Trump rarely settles anything where he has to pay, and we really don’t know, but pretty sure he paid this time, especially with the egregious number of violations. And sorry to be a little crude, but as I read your sentence about a sitcom episode, with Trump also being on my mind, my brain pronounced it to me as “shitcom episode”. Shanley, again you have defined a piece of the puzzle of how trompas, (Spanish for snout) made his money...striking first and waiting it out knowing most of us do not have the money to stall or pay to play. It defined his days prior to his political 'career'. He carried it through to this current fiasco of a government. Systems theory and Game theory has pretty much proven that if you have one piece of a puzzle, you can put the rest of the puzzle together given all the pieces; like a jigsaw puzzle, for example. When all the other pieces fit, and one is left over, it can be defined/placed by inference. So all that we've seen has shown us the overall make up of the clown in the house, why are we waiting to take it to any higher level? One possibility is that our present fun house, Republican Democrat and Independents made up of many who, afraid of their own complicity, are refusing to face it because they refuse to acknowledge it or it is paying lovely dividends they refuse to trade for absolution. Exposing the clown in the car who has no license careening over all he aims for needs to happen! For me, the State of the Union/Awards Show displayed bribed promoters, compromised individuals and cowed cowards. I hope that this will be the starting rally for a New Day where we get to write New Rules for a New World! Thank you for summarizing this so well, again! Barbara
