Congratulations on what your nation achieved together on Tuesday. What remains now for USA is the balancing act of restoring compassion (getting everyone fed, healed and reunited) and dealing with all of the skulduggery of this administration.
Each President can decorate the Oval Office to their liking. I don't see anyone, not even a Republican, keeping one piece of fake gold decorations regardless of his EO. Shanley, miss hearing about your kids and husband. Hope everyone is doing well.

The loss of the East Wing is so sad. I would agree with other comments that the hideous 'ballroom/bunker' should be demolished, and the East Wing reinstated. Then erase all trace of him and the desecrations that he has authorised.
I suspect a large number of Americans will agree with me that we should reverse every single one of Trump’s tasteless, dysfunctional renovations.
We should:
• remove all Trump’s gilding in the WH, including the resort-style gold signs
• take down the insulting Presidential Walk
• restore the Rose Garden
• rebuild the East Wing exactly as it was
• remove the ballroom entirely or cut it down to a much smaller size
• fix the chronic drainage issues of the Reflecting Pool without making it a gaudy blue
• prohibit construction of the “Triumphal Arch”
• reopen the DC golf course, park, and trails to the public
• replant all the trees that have been cut down
• reopen the Kennedy Center after any essential repairs are completed
• remove flawed gilding from statues
• remove (again) statues honoring Confederates
• restore Smithsonian exhibits altered by Trump
• remove Trump banners and Trump’s name from all federal buildings
• restore the Palm Beach Airport’s original name
• restore all National Parks like Big Bear and Yellowstone to their pre-Trump sizes and public protections
• strengthen legal protections for all national landmarks so no future president can arbitrarily alter or destroy them
