One distinction worth keeping clear: this is outside spending supporting their election, rather than money donated directly to their campaigns. It deserves scrutiny alongside their voting records and their explanations for supporting the legislation.
Disgraceful that our government, "of the People, by the People, and for the People", is being bought by industries and interests with deep pockets-- a million here, a million there-- while candidates with integrity must drop out of races because they run out of money. It's just a crying shame!
So sorry you've been kept waiting for little Ezra's MRI results. I'm praying that "no news is GOOD news!"
And, Oil Pastels are AMAZING! Their brilliance can spoil you for other media. Enjoy! You'll have fun with all the shades of green you can try blending.
It’s maddening. Families are trying to make careful decisions about groceries and bills while industries can spend millions helping choose the people who will write their rules. We deserve a government that pays attention to us even when we can’t afford to purchase its attention.
Thank you so much for thinking of Ezra. I’m hoping for reassuring news too, and trying to keep my imagination from filling in everything we haven’t been told. Your kindness means a lot. ❤️
And now you’ve made me even more excited about the oil pastels! With all the plants and trees around here, I suspect I could spend an unreasonable amount of time exploring shades of green. Brock may have intended to buy me art supplies and accidentally financed several hundred portraits of moss.
Thanks for writing back! Now go experiment with your new patels. We must savor life's joys, even in the midst of....well, all of it. Thanks so much, Shanley!
