Putting words together that convey what’s true and real In the psychotic environment of Trumpworld is an extraordinary gift. Thank you, Mary and family. You help keep us sane and grounded.

This is really well written.

Trump's business/political practices appear to me to be capitalism at its worst: pure, dog eat dog, zero sum, winner take all. It seems this is his world view. I am not an economist, though, and I'd be willing to be corrected about this, but it seem to me that American law is designed to reward this sort of predatory behavior. We call it "the incentive system", and I do recognize that incentives drive, in large part, American innovation. And I am a fan of both innovation and the incentives system that drives it. But isn't Trump just maxing that very system out: making the laws to permit him and family and cronies to extract the most possible from it, and extracting, winner take all? Isn't that "the American dream" gone wild?

Trump's art of the grift is quickly dissolving around him as his hit-and-run distractions and bloviated grandiose declarations are being rapidly battered by the recurrent waves of consequential reality.

The Iranians are holding Trump by the short hairs, proclaiming checkmate with each grift maneuver he enacts. Oil is Captain Trump's ticking crocodile. With each dodge he attempts, the ticking only gets louder.

Trump's bag of tricks is very limited to lying, threatening, cheating, and stealing. He is incapable of comprehending or navigating the complex world of civilized humanity. His knuckle dragging consciousness and imbecilic impulsivity is causing escalating chaos and destruction. The world is figuring out how to live without America. Meanwhile, we will continue to drown until we contain Trump's insanity.

I'd like to thank Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth for the timely demonstration that amateurs focus on tactics while professionals focus on logistics. Except I'm not sure that being shouty is really a focus on tactics.

What a pathological ability it is to stand before reporters or an adoring group of MAGAts and spew lies with no bearing whatsoever in reality, knowing, and not caring, that everything will be challenged and corrected. He's mastered this perverse "skill" over years of cheating on wives, stealing from and bankrupting businesses. Consequences be damned. He'll lie his way out of that too. And the timing! Friday afternoon so that the financial markets can rebound and he can, over the weekend, engage in self aggrandizing on the golf course. How did this happen to us? Oh wait! Because they believed his promises and couldn't bring themselves to vote for a woman of color.

What more can be learned from the scam?

That most everyone I have read thought ‘it couldn’t happen here’…what causes such stupidity?

Probably the same things that caused us sinking from #1 to places far beyond 18th in education, health care, infrastructure …yet we have the most millionaires …hmmmm

And all this coming blantantly obvious in the last 10+ years….hmmmm

He said,he said, they believed, we warned, the dominos go down..how quickly how much further will the world be destroyed/in chaos/fooled with the corruption in charge.

Comedians have had a heyday, the coffers are near empty , the deficit skyrocketed …war is still the profit margin …again…

🎶When will they ever learn….🎶

Thank you for the superb breakdown , Mary.

Trump was seriously planning a performance of Les Mis as a fundraiser?

A story set against the background of poor people rising against an oppressive government.

Maybe nobody told him.
