An essay that itself is a wonderful way to increase hope if just by an imperfect increment

This makes me cry. Particularly to compare to this regime’s ideology of going backwards…..climate, coal, mining our wildlands, drilling our refuges…praying we can make it stop. And yet there are the beautiful tortoises beginning their come back. I am hardly breathing until we can make our comeback.

You often remind me that there is still hope….and that hope may just be the most powerful piece of our arsenal. 🇨🇦💙

" Even when the loudest people in the room try to drag us backward, there are others, quieter, more stubborn, more alive to consequence, who keep pushing forward anyway."

We MUST move forward. Thank you. Inspiring. My coffee tasted better after reading this.

This paragraph: "... what makes the Floreana story more than a sweet animal headline..." is "innocence... and forgetfulness, a new beginning, a playfulness, a self-rolling wheel, an opening move, a HOLY YES."

Thank you for the glimmer of hope on yet another day that the world needs it. Your brilliant balancing of the turtle story and the past week's politics is one of your most moving pieces.

I love this! I’m taking care of a red foot. I’m not sure if people know but they are smart and I will say “affectionate.”
