We have Project 2025 to thank. During the Presidential campaign in 2024 there were plenty of photos of Trump sitting with Russell Vought in comfortable chairs and in private jets plotting this. Yet Mr. Trump went before the voters on camera saying he had never heard about Project 2025. Of all the lies told by him this one spells out the most horror in store for our country. Think about it - the most dangerously radical demolition of our nation was plotted in detail behind doors by a small-select group of wealthy white men. Video tapes of Trump and Vought and Trump telling voters that he never heard of Project 2025 should be broadcast on a continuous loop day and night.
I had forgotten the requirements of SNAP until your words this morning. So much to do in the world of politics in the future. Regardless of party, let us focus on the folks who have a desire to work for the people, not the corporations, and finally, at last, work to get our country and world back Our votes have ever been more important. The cruelty and vindictiveness of the Trump regime is no longer hidden. Not only is it on full display, it is being flaunted. That we now live in a facist, authoritarian kakistocracy is a fact. The pretense that we remain a democracy is nothing more than window dressing.
The world has a way of righting itself. And while the arc of the moral universe is long, it bends toward justice, which is a highfalutin way of saying karma is a bitch. But, you know, a lot of karma, I would say most, we don't get to witness, we just have to accept it is there. The Clery Act allows cut off of federal funding if a school fails to report violent incidents. The kicker: enforcement of the Clery Act is by the Dept of Education, now at lower than half the staff it had at the start of 2025. Fair chance what's left are loyalists.
