Oh, I liked this summary of things: "Wait until Americans try to buy a Ford and find out it costs as much as a BMW because the president wanted to “own Canada.”
Have 450 former weather forecasters been sitting around waiting to be rehired, or maybe getting employment someplace more reliable? The best and brightest won't want USA as their employer.
I’m on vacation in Oregon and trying not to listen to any news, but I find I need to check in and listen to your commentary to hear where the state of our crumbling Union is. Many thanks for keeping me updated.
Thanks, Mary for keeping up with the Emperor’s BS!
It seems to me people have to find alternative markets… check hints from Heloise out , farmers markets -the local ladies and gents will fare well. Take in a renter. Ride a bike. Times are going to get rough.
To all: Things will get worse…aren’t I the cheery note , but it’s true. Sorry, really.
That’s why it’s such a pill to swallow…half of us that voted didn’t vote for him. He has been busy fulfilling his royal highness mandate and not that of the people. Eventually he will be noted in the history books as the worst politician in American, make that World history. I can’t wait to see the rose garden restored and the gaudy golden ballroom has to go.
We will never be the same as a country and I have mixed feelings about that. I am saddened by the loss of trust and friendship of so many countries, but buoyed by the response to Trump of most of them. They are not going to take it anymore. We may have to live under a toddler tyrant for several more years, unless lawyers and legislators wake up and do their jobs , but we will be back! Lessons learned from people who completely deflected to the dark side during and before Trump as well as acknowledging elected officials from both parties who just do not do the jobs we sent them to Washington to do. There is a day of reckoning coming and we can only hope it comes sooner than even we expected. Thanks as always, Mary, for a concise assessment of where we are today.
Wonderful "reporting"/grieving for our once livable USA (apologies to my Native American brothers and siters). Clearly, the toddler King does not know the meaning of "sarcasm", although ironically it fits his endless anger at any and all who challenge/question his absurd Reign. As for his grip on economics, I like the (sarcastic) term, Tramponomics. Jus' a suggestion.
