I am amazed everyday that one man is able to destroy America. How the f*ck can we allow this? I keep waiting for some kind of cavalry to ride in and drag him away from the podium, throw him in a padded cell and throw away the ke so we can get back to our lives. This just sucks.

Much of Trump’s invincibility may be due to his shadow army of goons who terrorize Republican leaders and their families. Depraved telephone threats, appearing at the doorstep of their homes and other atrocities.

To stay sane I only stay informed about some of the goings on. Mary G is always included in what I read. I'd like to see Mark Kelly debate the Hegseth guy with fact-checkers part of the panel asking questions.

Rural America is rapidly becoming a healthcare desert and wiping away ACA will render it so. The same could be said for public education, and jobs. It’s hard to watch and understand the entire breadth of devastation of this important portion of our country, which mysteriously votes for the GOP.

I do wonder Nick that the true story of rural America isn’t portrayed versus betrayed. I chose to live here but many are stuck here with fewer and fewer choice . One being voting for Hope, dwindling tax bases, polluted water, and decaying infrastructures -termites,floods, aged residents, job loss, drug addiction they’re all on toll roads. America slowing down and few waking up to the causes.

" It was the rhetorical equivalent of leaving a Yelp review at a funeral"

When I read Trump's sick post, I was reminded that for him, there is no bottom. The Reiners didn't so much "pass away" as he wrote-- as they were brutally stabbed to death. Trump blames the victims and then manages to make it all about himself. As always.

What John Kelly has said pretty much sums it up: 'Donald Trump is the most damaged individual he has ever known'

And now we seem to be blockading Venezuela because it "stole" our land and oil. It's been a deep secret that the US actually owned land and oil in Venezuela. I assume he's talking about the nationalization in 2007 of the oil industry, but those assets were ExxonMobil's and Conoco's, not "ours"." But for trump, he and the oil companies are one and the same.

Seems to me our response to a similar state of affairs in Iran has led to continuing disasters. Might it not be better to sue them and ask money?

ExxonMobile already has over a billion on judgements. Not sure how well collections are going.

My Dear Mr. President:

Your profane response, this day, to the tragic deaths of Mr. and Mrs. Reiner has brought into clear focus that ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ simply defines the spasmodic pattern of thinking coming from your deranged mind, Mr. Trump.

Get help,

I am at a loss for words this morning, Mary, and glad you aren't. The tragedies of the last few days, the ugly, ill-spoken words coming from the man who currently occupies "our house" in Washington, D. C. , and the state of our union is as depressing as I've seen it for several years. The Ballroom debacle, word has it, is to make room for "safety rooms" for the current occupant and administration. It will be underneath the ballroom and then disguised as a gold palace on top. As the people wake to the dangerous absurdities of trump, he will need to go underground along with his tag-a-long group of fawning politicians in order to save himself from us. I suggest sealing the doors and holding a party for the people above that structure asap. May impeachment, removal from office, jail time , and sanity be restored in the coming days and months. I'm heading for the movies to escape for a few hours. Have a great day, Mary!

The shock of seeing two men clinging to a fragment of what was their boat, waving to show that there were survivors, has never yet left my mind, the cold and cruel and even unlawful second shot that killed them was astonishing to me and your president and his willing henchmen will have to explain themselves at some not too distant future, no one who saw that picture will ever unsee it.
