Thanks for your hard work, Mary. I look forward to your epic piece this weekend.

I worry about what will be left of our planet for our grandchildren. I have three, ages 6 years to 18 months. When my grandson is my age in 2092, what will earth look like? I can't even image it. They will surely see the new millennium? Maybe.

It is interesting time, and I share with Mary the distress. I have concluded, like Mary, I am prescience of the evil before us. Or, I am a nattering naybob who will eat crow when all turns out well. I hope it is the latter. I much prefer to eat the figurative crow versus the literal when the whole thing collapses.

Mary lays it well. It is a structural argument ranging from the Keystone cop quality of FBI leadership to the willful destruction of science. Poland hoarding gold is a leading indicator of the dollar’s increasing likelihood of marginalization—perhaps collapse. Trump is the unwitting mark in a poker game.

What is clear, Trump answers to the money of interest groups like Big Oil. Or the Heritage Foundation. The raid on the Hyundai plant was a cluster f’k first class—killing the Golden Goose. The sad murder of Kirk, an egregious show of political theater. The sinking of the Venezuelan boat, criminal. The ever Putin apologist, a strategic blunder of epic proportion. Trump is a Titanic in a sea of greed and retribution. His faithful scramble to rearrange the deck chairs.

This was good to know about Cash Patel, "At the very moment he was falsely tweeting that a suspect was in custody, he was dining at Rao’s in Manhattan."

The imbalance of wealth needs more exposure. The same people in politics who complain about paying for health care and Social Security often have lifetime pensions and healthcare. This is after serving in Congress and buying and selling stock on info they learn while plugged into info even Wall Street doesn't have.

In WWII, my father (Army) and all my uncles (Navy) fought in the Pacific. My father's sisters worked at the Pentagon. I guess they'd qualify as antifa(scist). The concept that it's wrong to be against fascism is about as unpatriotic as it gets.

Looking forward to the thinkpiece you're working on.

I feel I'm watching a State Farm commercial and Trump is Mayhem! Three more years of this madness and chaos is asking too much of our people , our country, and our world. Will we survive? Yes, but things will never be the same and in my most hopeful thoughts, after that I see a completely aware and functioning citizenry and DC, but that may be long after the fires have been put out and a crumbling country has fallen to its knees. Never again, Donald Trump and all the wanna-be Trumps. We have already learned our lesson! RESIGN!

Thanks, Mary…I don’t know what I’d do without your written material each day. As David says below, I hope we’ll all be eating crow SOON before a collapse would occur because of this kikistocracy 😢

Watching this bunch has been a clear illustration of kakistocracy in motion. Unfortunately, there are actors that are competent behind the scenes with every intention of destroying our system of government. Congress and the judiciary are compliant in this.

Yes, these characters we watch on the stage are all being manipulated by others behind the curtain. They are literally the distraction. But when one of them crosses over from behind the scenes to front and center like Musk did, they act the fool because like bad actors everywhere they have no talent for decorum, diplomacy or rules. Miller, formerly behind the scenes stepped out and hoo boy does he get a rotten tomatoe right to the mug. But Voght stays in the shadows where the real decisions are made. Follow the money? Yes but follow the stench as well.

I have been fairly confident since the beginning of the Trump regimes that he is only the mouthpiece a la the Wizard of Oz with the deep policy & process in the hands of Stephen Miller and folks like him. The other members of the band—Hegseth, Noem, Patel et al are either consummate actors or cult groupies looking for $$. Sadly, their elitism has programmed them to believe that they can run a government without consult from experienced, dedicated civil servants. As with other comments, I fear for my grandsons future as it seems to me that it is going to take decades to build what has been lost in operating structure not to mention the trust of the rest of the world.

We won’t survive to the end of Trumps term unless he can be severely reigned in. It just astounds me that about 40% of this country has been so totally indoctrinated by social media, podcasts and FOX that they have lost the ability to think for themselves and lost empathy, ethics, compassion and respect for other people’s ideologies.

Thank you. Your clarity is refreshing and my coffee time read.

I've read Project 2025. I've researched the epicenter of the storm... "The Council for National Policy " and watched "Bad Faith". I'm also aware of the overlords of "The Dark Enlightenment " who surrounded Don the Con recently. The Cannonization of CK was the sacrificial lamb they needed on their cross of nihilism. The capitulation of the entire MSM ,including MSNBC was the last straw for me. The nauseating 24/7 coverage, the fawning over who they know was a fascist tool brainwashing young adults but not so much to the liking of the Fuentes and the hard right.

Environment? The Senate Dems( including Klobuchar) confirmed 73- 18 Doug the Oil lord Burgum to oversee the Interior aka our Public forests, coastlines and land. At that moment it was clear that corporations own us.

But being a teacher in Hawaii we always knew that. Our kids are raised on it. It's unfortunate the rest of the country doesn't understand that military takeover of sovereign nations is the norm for USA INC

Thanks for standing up for reality. Blessings to Marz
