The fact that children have to appear in immigration court EVER is mind-boggling, especially for those who were so in fear that they fled their homelands unaccompanied to find safety in the US. Or lost their parent(s) to a horror along the way. They are children! They should experience nothing but love, acceptance, care and help. Makes my blood boil.

Glad you are both better! Oh yes, one's back does rebel after being laid on too long; ouch.

Thanks, once again, for your succinct summary of the current mess our Country is in. Yes, billions for an undeclared war, but nothing for children facing deportation. What have we become?

"Decorative pillows asked to operate heavy machinery"? I hope someone knows how to send this to Frank Bruni of the NYT.

It would be horrific if it weren’t even worse than horrific. I say that having just left a group of good faith, credible asylum seekers in immigration court with their young children, facing likely deportation to their home countries or countries they’ve never been to.

What haunts me lately is the proven success of unlimited MAGA money to convince voters “both sides” are the same, or Democrats are even worse, so voting is a wasted effort. They know the Democrat brand polls lower than Trump.

The largest eligible voting bloc in 2024 were non-voters. Inducing those on the fence not to vote is a key goal of MAGA election manipulators.

How do we break the stay-home response to custom targeted MAGA propaganda? Inspiring hope for changes a majority of people want might be a start.
