Just as it was often claimed that the US President was a great deal maker (he wasn't and isn't), it has been (and still is) often claimed that the US Vice President is a highly intelligent man and an intellectual thinker. He isn't. Both, however, have tactical skills at debating, where a win is to have the last word, with tactics of social suppression being very much part of the technique set. Debates exercised on the basis of social power don't result in intelligent policy, however. True to their nature, though, they determine those who win and lose access to unfettered power.
This is one of your best posts to date. It should be sent to everyone in Congress. They have the power to stop this madness and need to exercise that power. They can vacate the chair and make it happen.
I wondered aloud in an earlier comment if trump was sending help to Venezuela. I saw this morning that US Military is there helping. I wish them and everyone else in Venezuela safety and progress.
I heard on the news yesterday about Bolton's plea agreement guaranteeing he won't get more than 60 months. Plus fine of $2.25 million. Plus forfeiting his pension. Plus 100 hrs community service. Sentencing is in October. Hope the current administration is noting this and wondering what their own futures are. They are definitely out on limb ... a very slim limb!! Jamie Raskin is ready for that limb to break (Jamie Raskin was awesome on the Jan 6 committee).
