"They Just Want to Cheat”: Elon Musk’s Hologram of Hypocrisy
While screaming about voter fraud, Musk is firing regulators, gutting safety oversight, and trying to buy elections with memes and millions.
Elon Musk, a man who’s turned lying into both a business model and a political ideology, would like you to know that Democrats are cheating. Why? Because they voted against a Republican proof-of-citizenship bill already redundant under federal law, so obviously, they’re plotting a grand scheme to rig elections with imaginary undocumented voters. And what does our resident Orwellian space-lord do? He amplifies a post from someone calling herself Insurrection Barbie, a woman who looks like she stormed the Capitol and then blamed it on Antifa, and he adds with all the subtlety of a blunt crayon: “They just want to cheat.”
This from the guy who promised the world a Mars colony, a million robo-taxis by 2020, a Boring tunnel system that turned out to be a Tesla in a ditch, and Full Self-Driving so advanced that it can’t tell the difference between a stop sign and a shadow. The man who tanked Twitter, renamed it after his favorite chromosome, and now reposts Libs of TikTok conspiracy memes as policy guidance. A man who’s own Grok AI calls him the biggest purveyor of misinformation on the internet. The same man who is literally firing federal employees responsible for investigating his own companies under the Orwellian banner of the “Department of Government Efficiency,” and calling it reform.
Musk says others want to cheat while he’s gutting NHTSA’s automation safety division, just as Tesla’s "self-driving" software racks up more federal complaints than a congressional ethics hotline. This is the man who launched a $1 million bounty to gamify judicial elections in Wisconsin, handed it off to his goons on Signal, and then cried “free speech” when caught trying to buy a Supreme Court seat.
If Elon Musk ever accuses someone of cheating, it’s a pretty reliable sign that he’s currently doing it, has done it already, or is laying the groundwork to do it next on the blockchain, through government contracts, or via Neuralink’s global brain registry. The man who once said “reality is just a 3D rendering” is now rendering democracy itself into a techbro fever dream where oversight is the enemy and truth is whatever meme gets the most likes.
And yet here he is, frothing about election integrity while dismantling the very systems meant to protect it. This is a full-blown hologram of hypocrisy, broadcast in 4K from inside the world’s most overpriced Cybertruck.
Lies
What a barrel of horse shit! Noncitizens cannot vote; the number who have tried is minuscule and often the result of a misunderstanding. But the number of Republicans who try to prevent anyone from voting is astronomical. In the 2020 election I think they found less than 10 illegal votes cast nationwide and they were ALL Republicans. These people constantly look for ways to disenfranchise voters. The SAVE act is merely their latest effort.
