It was a shock to me! I didn't know that the varnish they used on wood floors back in the 50's also contained lead just like much of the paint. We can sand it down and put a new varnish on, but then we would be making the led airborne. So we'd need to keep Ezra out of the house, and hire professionals to come and do the clean up.
Ohhhh, ma-an. I forgot you'd need to sand it! But my kida and I sanded and Varathaned our whole house in just a few days ...is there anyone your kids could stay with?

Lead, in your floors? Oh, please "say it ain't so"! How did you find this out? And wouldn't sealing them with something like Spar Varnish protect you?
There is such a yawning gap, in our Country, between its "leaders" and gazillionaire sycophants, and the needs of the rest of us!
