I guess his is what the MAGA self-own looks like. We can’t afford our own teachers or nurses, but we can sure a hell bankroll a libertarian rock show in Buenos Aires. “America First” now means helping everyone but Americans. Trump didn’t drain the swamp—he franchised it. Every scandal, every bailout, every new “deal” just bleeds his own base a little more.

I do not vacillate on the Liar-in-chief’s MO..set-ups everyone to take a victory walk as his polls slips into the sewer. No surprise. Same old score ‘ set-ups or settling ‘ with a different smoke screen.

The argument that we need to straighten up as our world standings slip ( and have been for years) is not even a focus..just fire everybody and let a loser pretend everything is fixed because he says so…

It’s laughable

It’s insane

It’s sanctioned

It’s the same ol shit diff day Act 2

See ya at the protest…

It’s amazing that ICE hasn’t arrested the elusive Antifa commander. Christy is determined to bring him/her/them in at any cost.

How are serious criminals being dealt with as bondi and her staff of baubles go after liberals?

I happened to see part of the Trump circus featuring claims of 200%, 500%, even 1000% lower prices on American prescriptions. Favored nation.

What always gets me is the ever-expanding circle of bobble-heads. First it was Vance, Nutlick, and Hegseth (as in "You are a shining example of love, sir!" or whatever). Then it was the cabinet, plus a few outliers like Stephen Josef Goebbels Miller and Susie Q Wiles. Now, it's the whole emperor's court.

Oz the Unmagnificent was maybe the worst. He's clearly missed being on camera. The governor of Virginia groveling right on cue, bobbing his head with the rest.

I wonder if this nightmare will ever end...

How people standing behind him don't cringe when trump reveals he's a nasty piece of work suffering from dementia is a mystery.

Nice wrap up of ‘you-can’t-be-serious.’ For the record, as I learn the $20B bailout for Argentina was for Bessent’s investor buddies who were losing their shirts in Argentina. Of course, our farmers were a bit pissed off to note Argentina worked a grain deal with China to replace US exports.

It is interesting watching Vought and his half baked theories on government, and over baked Christian Nationalism. Thing is the tropes and Ayn Rand/Libertarian economics fail to understand how it works, Our laws are not academic, they arose from need. The agencies who administer them and associated budgets are essential.

From my few years working at a government agency, this observation. The agencies are intertwined with each other and private enterprise. It is a system of systems. A tranche. Remove one, the rest begin to fail. The Trump Administration with its DOGE philosophy of burn it all down just doesn’t get it. There are no “Democrat” agencies; they are necessary functions not political platforms.

In all of this, the forgotten people. The bureaucrats who faithfully came to work each morning and wound the clock for us. Like the IRS. The CDC for our national health. The ATC controllers. The USDA assuring our food is safe. The many in the military who live paycheck to paycheck (I’m former military). The incredible disdain as Trump waves his scepter and Vought paints the roses red, Americans suffer.

In one of those odd moments, I note Marjorie Taylor Green actually got it right, people will hurt.

Viewing and listening to that spectacle on TV is dangerous to my wellbeing , my mental state, and I'm sure I'm not alone. I lose faith in elected leaders every day that goes by without any real action from them. Talk, talk, talk, about what's he's done, but nothing seems to stick. I read about court hearings, judges responses, and still, on and on it drones. I watch a few news presentations of those I trust on TV, very few in the last years, and wonder how they can smile and talk about these horrific miscarriages of justice. We are wandering through this absurd, dangerous administration and nothing is normal. Who are we?
