We have friends whose little toddler would be sitting amidst his self-made destruction and just look up at his questioning patent and say “Me not.” That’s Trump. Whatever mess he makes, it’s always “Me not.”
Great stuff, Shanley. You have hit the nail on the head. I can't imagine any other country where he would get away with it. I look forward to seeing how Trump interacts with Andy Burnham, our prospective new Prime Minister, who is about as far as it is possible to get away from the polite and occasionally fawning Keir Starmer. watch this space - there may be fireworks.
Like a toddler or our Lab, the behavior you reinforce becomes habit.
The "I want it" governance is reenforced when Bill Cassidy pushes back in the Senate dining room, and then after being summoned to a meeting with Vance and Witkoff, he changes his tune and denounces the war powers act. I say "no begging for food. Go lie down." and then Dan surreptitiously drops a piece of bacon on the floor.
GOP senators have no spine. Let's not bet on them finding a scintilla of character or courage. They will continue to deliver what he wants. And the tyrant toddler will continue to endanger our democracy, our well being.
No one's coming to our aid. We are the cavalry. Vote like your life and your neighbor's life and your kid's life and our planet's life depends on it.
Ellie, Unless the toddler vetoes it which he has threatened to do and given how the algae has humiliated him he may need to prove his manhood by vetoing the housing bill. Hurry up Karma!
I think the toddler comparison is apt, but isn't the SAVE Act part of Project 2025? It might be dangerous to assign this to just Trump conspiracy binky.
Your writing is fabulous, so glad you got settled in housing.

While the overfed baby whines and poops his pants, in 10 business day it will become law

Shanley, you outdid yourself with this one!! LOL Had to share it on Facebook.
Perfect analogy! And he cares not a whit for the suffering of others.
Excellent. Thank you.
