I think yesterday Mary was angry when she wrote. Today I think she's more sad. Or, maybe that's me. Or, is it that is I? Wish I'd never learned that rule, "After the verb to be, it is I, she, he, not me, her, him.
Wish more attention was paid to, "Private-equity landlords continue to scoop up homes faster than families can make offers." It's grotesque. Billionaires, where I live, buy several adjoining lots in a "regular" neighborhood over years (often anonymously) and then make a compound. Within walking distance of my house, one of Google's founders did it and turned it into a business that runs his non-profit. Not legal but neighbors don't complain. Steve Jobs did it and adjoining lot had corn and playhouse and things for kids. Not sure what goes on now. His widow is rarely there. Then there's Zuke. I think his total was 6 house lots (3 on one block, 3 adjoining backyards on another block). School house for daughters, teacher, and 2-3 friends)... etc. Oh, btw, 24/365 security detail out front with big SUV.
