The growing existential threat of global warming will overcome our children and grandchildren. Yet we pussy foot around today on egg shells and pledge not to ruffle the feathers of a madman who cannot comprehend any reality on a scale bigger than himself. He cannot fathom the impact of global warming and therefore it is not real. He lives in yesterday. Our children do not.
The world pays -past, presently, and future tense, the price of these men. I just spent near three days with one , sparing you details or reasons why (to protect those others innocent) it was all Mary defines so to the T. The TV was NewMax, the talk was “rag-heads”, hang or shoot ‘em was the generally fit , and the “good old days”…There.was.no.point.at which I’d even have thought to interject fact …period.

My father was a narcissist, although I have to say he was not nasty like Trump. The one thing I learned over the years was that although he projected a man-in-charge personality, at his core he was a very insecure person with suffering from low self esteem. He was the middle child of 11 children and always trying to prove himself and draw the family attention. The Donald, who knew he was not his father's favorite, knows he is failing both physically and mentally, so he will lash out even more, which will make him, in the end, lose more control over the world around him. My fear is that he will hit rock bottom while he is still in office and has his fingers on so many buttons of power.

The toxic masculinity that delights Trump's passions is fueled by dominance, greed and subjugation of others. The antidote is intrepid femininity. In the contrast, femininity embraces compassion, empathy, community, justice, and moral sensitivities.
Femininity is the stronger vicissitude since it mobilizes and connects a civilized order, a shared commitment in relationships, and hope.
"We the People" are community. Enlightenment cannot be undone. I hadn't heard the Linked-in story of change your female tone to male, get a job, but it makes perfect sense. The internet, from its inception to right now, has been created, shaped, coded, designed and controlled by white males age 22-45, skewing younger. Just like fish that don't know they are in water, we exist in a place where most every idea and decision has been filtered through male point of view. The way we look at, hear, feel, and experience the world is designed through a fairly singular mindset. AI - the epitome of that mindset - will be the monster that ate the internet and it will be worse than the invisible net we live in now. And it will happen quickly and we will accept it because, what else is there? I pity the future.

Today I saw news that said AI will double in size every 7 months which means the need for electricity and water will double every 7 months for a long time. I don’t believe countries have the electricity grids, production ability or water as water is already a scarce commodity. It will either fall over or the world will be a totally different place in not many years in the future. Their suggestion that they could estimate the timescale in years (a decade or two ) is irrelevant, if AI gets out of control the world is doomed. It was likened to a nonstop massive Covid infection. People like Trump have no idea what that would mean to humanity and like Trump I don’t think the AI creators care. At 79 I hoped for better, I fear for even my future but I have a solution ready should the time come as I am that scared of Trump and AI.
