I've been reducing sources of news and, thanks to all things holy, I've got Mary G. on my "read regularly" list. This was a favorite from today, "Anyone else in the room would’ve caught the sarcasm. Trump grinned like a man being pickpocketed while complimenting the thief’s watch, too dim to realize he was the punchline."
At some point we should post our lists and see if there are some unknowns who should be known. Scott Galloway and Kara Swisher are often about business, but both have great and concise ways of telling the news.
Another great piece of journalism and writing. I just read it to my spouse as we’re driving to visit our grandson. Thank you for illuminating these dark times with clarity and wonderful deployments of the English language.
Very good catch on what is going on, thanks. My comments spring forth.
The downstream effects of Trump’onomics are becoming manifest. For us, a daughter (now officially former USAID) with advanced degree and 15 years experience managing large $$ portfolio, no immediate opportunities. She is joined by thousands of other former government employees. Qualified, left adrift (pretty sure North VA has some thoughts). In the AG sector lost foreign sales, new farm equipment buys on hold, and economic impact on local communities. It should be alarming that Trump’s immigration round up killed the golden goose viz a viz Hyundai in GA. In Canada, their new fighter is the Gripen after opting out of the F35., Portugal appears ready to pull the plug too. Pretty sure Lockheed Martin isn’t too thrilled. And Denmark, after Trump’s Greenland shenanigans, they just said no to the Patriot air defense system. All of these are lost jobs cascading into communities. I think Trump’s “golden age” is more like the golden shower for America.
When will legacy media, business “leaders”, and the growing ranks of those suffering from the regime’s incompetence and malice stand up to this reign of destruction?
As MAGA and their internet trolls weaponize Charlie Kirk’s death to incite a witch hunt against anyone who criticizes Kirk’s record of bigotry and misogyny wrapped in “Christian” references, the sycophants in media and culture follow the laser beam wherever MAGA operatives point it.
Cowardice and complicity are the opposite of what’s needed now.
Your words are eagerly anticipated each day for their truthfulness, clarity, and humor. It appears we must turn to all three of the aforementioned today when we are being bombarded by so many writer's in need of readers. I am grateful, Mary, that you entered the fray and have landed on top of my inbox. Thanks for all your research and brainpower in bringing the latest news to us each day.
And Dusty Don..? You know..that guy who turns everything he touches to dust? More and more witness it daily. His end will meet the same as so many other deluded (and those who followed them ) have gone before him …badly

I'm reducing my news sources, too. This one stays.

Brilliant writing.
With righteous satire.

I can hardly wait, Mary.
