Good news about Marz! I’ve missed any previous comments about cankles yet it is so appropriate! Somewhat related, I noticed when Trump was walking on red carpet in Alaska facing cameraman that he was waddling as if he had a rash. Maybe the cankles was contributing to his gait. I pay attention to gait following my knee and foot surgeries over the last 1.5 years.

Hopeful for the doggie.

Ever so thankful for your accurate dialogue as we ol’ folk die-a-lot , buried a recluse friend yesterday ,one of many this year ,too many not near as old.

Seams falling apart is in style. Not sure this whole outlook hasn’t been the scene before. Seems tired is common complaint.

My God , will we ever learn?

Walk as simple a path as you can, content with the simplest of comforts.None greater than love.

Happy Sunday. Peace Be With You.🫶😌

I don’t agree with you about everything, Mary, but I appreciate your point of view. I think you’ll like this book, which is for people of any party (or No Party Preference voters like me): The “Mechanics of Changing the World – Political Architecture to Roll Back State and Corporate Power.”

The author, an Aussie named John Macgregor, researched the history of democracies so all we need to do is read his provocative 400 pages about time-tested ways to reform government, instead of spending 8 years and plowing through the 1300+ citations like he did when he wrote it.

John identifies 4 modern obstacles to a well-functioning constitutional republic that our Founding Parents could not foresee:

• Corporate money runs DC and state capitals

• Centralized media doesn’t tolerate dissent

• Americans have no clue about the transformative effect of Citizens Assemblies (which already work well for many nations, such as the Swiss), and no one told us that the parliamentary system is more balanced than our current presidential system

• Voters in democracies around the world are discouraged because our feeble attempts to influence our electeds (demonstrations, letters to the editor, and voting) hardly change anything.

The Introduction to John’s book gives an excellent overview before he digs into the details, see it here: https://johnmacgregor.substack.com/p/introduction-to-the-mechanics-of

If you like the Intro, consider reading Chapter 10, which is one of the 3 case studies of government gone astray that John put in the book.

The only problem is that maybe it’s too soon for people who went along with the Covid lock down to see it from another viewpoint. John explains why so many Americans think that Covid was a power grab, not a public health emergency.

Both parties want us to disdain people in the other party. That’s because they can raise more campaign donations when people are angry. But anger won’t get us anywhere. Give it a try; Chapter 10 may help us find common ground. John gave me permission to share his analysis (which has 150+ citations):

Like so many of us, John Macgregor isn't in this for the money; he set the price of the hard copy and the digital book as low as possible, https://books2read.com/thirddraft, earning a magnificent 28¢ per book sold.

I voted for Trump only because I wanted RFK Jr to sweep the stairs clean at HHS or the CDC. I've been a "health nut" since I was 19, had my babies at home, breastfed them for a year, refused childhood shots, bought unsprayed food, relied on naturopathic medical care, and, more recently, I now minimize exposure to wireless tech (it's easy to wire up with Ethernet).

Although I've read the books, articles, and viewed the videos that explain the hazards of vaccines in general, the mRNA shots in particular, for some reason my digging is considered "selfish" and "fringe" by my Democratic friends, who were influenced by doctors who simply accepted the medical model without due diligence; they passed on the assurances that Pharma-funded research that's published in Pharma-funded medical journals proves the shots are safe and reliable

Those same doctors get bonuses (AKA kickbacks) for every patient who is "fully vaccinated" but you don’t hear about that, and those doctors never thought to check their patients' vitamin D level to make sure it’s high enough to keep their immunity strong.

In other words, the silver lining of Trump's win, for me, is that the grassroots Trump supporters’ strong affinity for RFK Jr. could not be ignored; Trump couldn’t avoid appointing Kennedy, Makary, Bhattacharya, and Malone, etc., many of whom lost access to their subscribers on internet, and or lost well-paid positions, some even lost the right to practice medicine because they Questioned Authority.

When doctors like Dr. Peter McCullough, with 600 published journal articles, realized that the experimental mRNA shots did not slow infections, did not reduce hospitalizations, and, in fact, that unvaccinated people had a lower All Cause death rate than vaccinated people, they spoke up and were hounded by the media (whose largest revenue stream in non-election years if from Pharma) as being in the Disinformation Dozen.

I’ve been conned before, so I know it’s difficult to admit being gullible. But the silver-lining of being tricked is that we sharpen our discernment. Live and learn!

We should never forget that all four physician members of the Senate voted to confirm RFK, Jr. And don't let them ever forget either.

May the recovery of Marz be swift. When it's all said and done, all we want is healthcare, housing fairness, and the ability to put food on the table. Thinking of you, Marz!
