There are times when I have had to overcome the impulse to stop his voice and image from searing into my very soul. Breaking my tv screen would be counterproductive so I fought that impulse. We are all looking forward to the day when he’s gone.
More often than not, I find myself with no appetite after hearing the events of the previous day. Skipping breakfast is probably not good, long term, but it does save grocery money.
My thanks as well. Living in a “red” rural area of Nor Cal, I find it hard to trust the process or even allow oneself to hope. I find I listen to “the regime spokes people” more as Nov 3 looms on the horizon with my gut clenched. Your consistent attention to the details is very much appreciated.
Excellent essay, Mary! I feel the same revulsion hearing his voice so I sympathize with you. The thought of 2 more years of him is just beyond the pale! So many impeachable offenses. He and his crime family should all be incarcerated. Why is that not in the cards?

Thank you for the informative essays. Most of the writers I read regularly now exist on Substack. I certainly could not tolerate listening to his vile drivel every day. I hit the mute button whenever his I see his puffed up face. So, well done and thank you. We cast our ballots here in southern Oregon and took them directly to the official drop box. It’s really sad to see the USPS being messed with, and it felt safer to completely bypass that step. Accountability cannot come soon enough.

These tactics target minority voters and could allow officials to exclude enough legitimate votes to change election outcomes in states including Texas, Ohio, Alaska, Michigan, and Georgia.
His central warning: Elections can be overturned not by changing votes, but by deciding which votes get counted.

I'm also sickened by hearing and/or seeing him ... completely repulsed. Yet you have been persevering. Please don't overdo it. Your claims of election rigging when your guy loses have worn thin. Luiz Lula da Silva won Brazil’s recent Presidential contest. Suck it up, man!
The average twelve-year-old understands that the candidate who doesn’t have enough support isn’t going to win an election. No rigging necessary.

I am on a get-out-the-vote team, and Trump's own message is the greatest motivator: Trump and Trumpism ARE ON THE BALLOT.
