I love that Canada did the ad using Reagan's own words. The dem party needs to wake up and be more creative to get out in front of the regime. Thanks for your great coverage of what's going on. I appreciate it. 🙏

As a Boomer with 50+ years yoga practice I agree ☺️Ruth Ben-Ghiat wrote today about Mamdani; "the Democratic party is fossilized and not built for flexibility. Its messaging is often staid and conventional, and it is perceived as so centrist, cautious, and beholden to big donors and the fossil fuel industry that it is unable to act on behalf of the people"

Jeffries endorsed Mamdani today 👍Too many Dems don't have the required flexibility to look over their shoulders.

And yet you still find room for levity and thank God because your roundup would be too fn depressing to read without classics like "Canada is calling the movers and taking the couch". That funny phrasing works not because they are breaking up with us, but because the couch is old, comfy and loved by all, including the dog (who gets the dog??). Canada is not some country most of us have never heard of and have no idea what we trade with them. Canada is Canada and while it might look to Maga that he Trump is being powerful, to us it looks like he's just drunk again, on a tear across the borders and if Canada doesn't get the couch (and the dog) out, there will be no couch left to take. Humbly and with gratitude to you, Mary, I await your next missive.

Has any of you wanted some of that brilliant wit to rub off while reading..? I believe Katy has a clue.

So who does get the dog, maybe Marz knows?

Canada oh my Canada, lead the way in the divorce tactics please. Bravo!

There are many factions that will go down -have WE our way- there will be no leniency for the con sorts and thank-you and please ,Lord.

The lesson is painful for far too many, least those having second thoughts that end is coming, your time is running out.

Those pardoned too.

Holding no malice I first note ‘the thems’ will be remembered accordingly.

Justice has needed a thorough house cleaning, taxes revamped, and a sternness exacted..no more Mr.Nice Guys.

Thank you , Mary. Such fresh air moments ,spent with you , are treasured.

The dust of decay is thick in all of our states even though some feel and see it more than others. I am dumbfounded that citizens of the United States can STILL be so gullible as to follow and believe in this shell of a man, this parasite. Canada is to be congratulated for their astute actions in procuring Ronald Reagan's message from the grave. Words still matter! I, like you, Mary, am mortified anew each morning with the insanity in words and actions of this man and those who absolutely refuse to stop him. We can only hope a day of reckoning is not far off.

I’m going to take a look at “Bedtime For Bonzo”. Maybe there’s a line or two there that the president won’t find so offensive.

Brilliant writing as always Mary. No matter how dire the news you always manage to add in a line that has me laughing out loud. Thank you, we certainly need it. Enjoy your 'walkies' with Marz...he has the right idea, fresh air and squirrel chasing...everything else can wait. 🫠

Thank you for your writing. Just downing my late morning coffee and bringing my blood glucose down to a safer lever after the orange juice and some diner hash browns. The pause gives me a few moments to simmer down and catch up on my reading.

It's more productive at the moment than gunning up for the next war.
