Where is the outrage???? As we burn and abuse our planet, our only home for the world, does no one in power have any thoughts of their own salvation. If we burn up together, we all go regardless of the size of your bank account. Where are those tech trillionaires who are willing to speak out and also give their money to finding solutions instead of adding to their bank accounts. I am so frustrated with this disastrous thinking. Sharing with the hope of getting more on the conservation wagon even while the wheels are coming off and it's rusting away from neglect. After reading this powerful takedown of those betraying our planet and futures, I am thinking of the moment in “Succession”, the brilliantly acted TV series based on King Lear and loosely on Rupert Murdoch and his progeny, when the billionaire father appraises his four dysfunctional adult children with the line “I love you, but you are not serious people”.
The masters of our universe today could also be appraised as not serious people, if being serious includes a sense of responsibility for consequences and fidelity to evidence and reason. Almost to the one, they embody our darkest, most flawed human attributes, driven by pathological greed and lust for attention and dominance no matter the harm.
Like the prophets of old, Mary calls out those who deserve shame and calls on us to be serious about what’s real and true. Speaking truth to and about power is more important than ever and a force for change. It’s a real service - and a valued one the rest of us can take into the world.
I think Mitch McConnell died a few years ago and they've been sending in a Musk-built robot which sometimes breaks and seems to stare off for a minute or so. It also has difficulty walking on its mechanized legs and falls over frequently. Or is that just a daydream of mine?

I am healthy because I eat and exercise and try to reduce stress but I do use vaccines and they have prevented Covid and most of my childhood diseases such as polio, measles and chicken pox. I have not had any flu because I get vaccinated each year for the later flu virus. I appreciate this and don’t understand why people are now afraid to be Vaccinated. I am 84 and grateful. I use supplements and vitamins too. I think that some alternative health practices are good but sometimes we can use pharmaceuticals. I am using beet powder and after a stress it lowered my blood pressure back to normal. 120 over 69. So if an alternative is good use it. One has to stay aware and think but let’s also know science has saved life during the pandemic and there is no evil in vaccines!!!!!!
What if your very healthy life style has protected you from vaccinal harm rather than caused your strong immunity?
Those childhood diseases are always hauled out to justify vaccinations, despite the fact that they had already been reduced to very low numbers before the vaccines were available. It turns out that clean tap water, good sewage systems, and social programs that reduced starvation were the reason for most of the health gains.
