Is anyone anywhere doing anything about this very dangerous behaviour of the man in the most critical position, this is no longer amusing,it is difficult to live with, dangerous for us all and in the end definitely not going to end well.

Thank you for your compelling writing to help us make sense of these times. You managed to perfectly capture our collective dystopian nightmare. I know there are many more who can see it as well. Thanks for all you do. I hope you have a peace-filled holiday.

Imagine if that had been Joe Biden on the sterile patio rambling and hallucinating - it would be headline news across all media, and calls for impeachment or invoking Amendment 25 would be ubiquitous. The same can be said about almost every day of this corrupt, traitorous, insane and dangerous regime. The degree of cowardice, complicity and denial in our nation is astounding.

I actually had to Google turkeys Peach and Blossom to be sure you yourself weren't on a flight of pre-Holiday eggnog. If it were anyone but trump I'd say the speaker was actually trying to be funny. Do you suppose someone slipped him the line about saving them and he took it seriously?

It does seem that the only way the “invalid pardon” could have resulted in a trip to the chopper was if trump “undid” it, and so sent them there. But hey, he’s doing a lot of undoing recently. Extend the ACA subsidies?

Yes, the Turkey Dialogues. One of many pardons, more to come. It has been just over a year since the more sane of us woke up asking ourselves: what the fuck just happened? Now into the tenth month, what many feared has become reality. We are a rogue state. Ukraine’s sovereignty hangs by thread. A people who threw off the Russian yoke, may now fall again. The destruction of US prestige abroad tragically epitomized by the elimination of USAID (by many accounts hundreds of thousands died from lost medical and nutritional support). Our military leadership debased by DEI purges. Our economy? Well there is Wall Street and there is Main Street. A DoJ that is more and more divorced from impartial justice. But in any event, I do wish all a Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy your family, and take a break from the crazy.

I’m so thankful for your updates. My heart races and my anger gets the best of me. How on earth is this happening? It feels like an elementary school battle. Bullies are intimidating the whole class. His followers are all going to suffer too. Why can’t they see that?

Well, there is little visible for us to be thankful for and finding those little cracks of light are seemingly even harder to find this year. The turkey's survived, I think, and the sun rose as well as the setting of the moon, so another day has been etched away. As we deem him more ineffectual will that make it so? All I know for sure is I'm still here, hanging on by my fingernails, eating a smaller turkey, paying a higher utility bill, and trying to stretch my retirement dollars to the end of the month. Looking at all of that in my rearview mirror, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Thanks, Mary, for the day's rundown. You amaze me and keep me informed and for that, on this Thanksgiving holiday, I am grateful.

Your narrative about Trump's own derangement is probably the real reason why Mark Kelly and co. made their statement to US soldiers about following orders.

The point where this stopped being funny was passed a long time ago. It really should be time for the proverbial men in white coats to usher Trump away to a life in a care home somewhere. Obviously that's not going to happen.

I'm sorry USA but you're in an impossible situation. Even if the relevant article of the Constitution was triggered you'd be left with JD Vance and I'm not sure that's an improvement and after him you get Pam Bondi.

Viewing from the UK this is very sad to see and sadly Trump's madness affects the entire world.
