As Trump rewrites the rules of global trade, we pause to honor a beloved companion who helped guide our family through far more meaningful transitions.
So sorry you had to say goodbye to Rhea. I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a devoted soulmate. It’s the last kind thing you can do for an ailing pet.
Spot on as usual. And I am sorry for your loss of Rhea. But what a beautiful tribute you have written for her. I was really touched by it. I am on year 15 with my cat, so I know how special a cat that has been with you that long can be.
O Bast, Great Mother of all cats, welcome Your daughter Rhea to Your wonderful place where all the kitties can run and play, loved, healthy, whole, and free. Comfort Mary and her daughter in their sorrow with Your healing purrs and mother's love.
Tears reading about your family’s farewell to Rhea. We still miss our kitties of years past, Petrushka, Natasha and Sagwa, and treasure their memories and memories of the joys and comfort they brought to our family. Now we live with a fluffy white hair feline, Yana, who knows she’s beautiful and seems bored with the attention of her many admirers. Yana is a reason we find moments of respite from Trump’s malevolent reign of destruction.
Goodbyes are never easy. I’m so very sorry for your loss of Rhea. We love these small creatures and it’s difficult to make the decision but we do it with love. May she rest in peace.
As a cat devotee I loved your tribute to your beloved pet. RIP Rhea 😢. And thanks for your clear eyed description of our leader’s thrashing of our economy.

LOCKED UP INSIDE MY HEART
Locked up inside my heart
At my own beck and call
Lives all the beauty, joy, and love
You brought into my world.
Memories to treasure
Moments that delight
Their value is beyond measure,
A testament to your life.
They are there for me to unpack
And rummage through each day,
They bring me smiles and comfort
And often tears along the way.
But they are there whenever I need them
Morning, noon, or night
And my heart is where they’ll stay
Until our reunion day.
Farewell, Rhea. Your work is done. Go now in peace 🩵
