This fiasco is a horrible canker in a year of fiascos, one after another. Yet, Twump et al call it winning. That old expression of, "Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining," has become something more crass.
Let's madlib it: Don't _______ on my _______ and tell me it's ________ .
Well, here is the rub. Trump went to war on his own, and flipped his middle finger to us and the world. Nothing new. What should be the headlines today: Congress impeaches Trump. What is in the news, the GOP endorses an unnecessary and illegitimate war on Iran. The Dems want a war powers resolution. Wow. The game is on and the home team has yet to arrive. We are a Country ruled by whim and diktat. Yes, there will be increased prices. No, the Iranian regime will remain not change.
Excellent . America repeats believing again He was a good businessman…and after that fact ( someone told them) someone else reveals failed business, how many bankruptcies, cooked books…no accountability. And yet they voted for him again believing yet another rig of a campaign promise ..in two weeks if I recall…or , “well he lived up to his promises “ getting the worst offenders off the streets …little reference to the 8-1 ratio of innocents lives dead or destroyed in the illegal process ( no due process).
The coffers will reveal the sham eventually , the debt ballooned us into severe recession, which we ALL pay for in triplicate.
I’m hoping the warehouses designed for the “illegal” immigrants house him, the WH staff, cabinet, unauthorized agents/advisors, sycophants, foreign players….and not you or us for “endangerment”…as in ‘getting in his way’…there’s been much to do about the concentration camps of another regime’s playbooks…just sayin
Cuba is definitely in trouble... and Greenland is not far behind. If Congress lets this go and does nothing to roadblock Trump, I hope the American people drop bombs on them when (if) we get a next election.
We are a nation sustained by wars and all who benefit from them. A trillion dollars here, a trillion dollars there - who’s counting? Who’s even counting the consequences: we haven’t actually won a war since World War 2.
The disproportionate expenditures on the military are sickening.
Dead children and families, dead soldiers who hoped the military would open doors to a better future: we even have antiseptic names for them - “collateral damage” and “casualties”.
Israel might claim necessity, but this is a war of choice for the U.S. no matter how much Trump claims Iran is a direct threat. In reality, Trump’s choice increases risks for Americans. Iran has proxies around the world - retaliation can be expressed over years. Moreover, the Iranian regime is not just a few bad leaders at the top - it’s embedded throughout the society and is not close to being dislodged.
We can deduce Trump’s motives: not losing midterm elections and personal greed. Bibi long ago exposed his zeal for war as a ticket to perpetual power. The human cost is simply not in their equation.
(Reposting a comment I wrote on a different essay yesterday.)
Through the kaleidoscopic porthole of Donald Trump's consciousness lies an absolute belief that his stable genius vision through his third eye chakra allows him supreme knowledge and judgement free from tiny minded expert opinions.
Thus, the activation of colonial conquests, attempts of regime change in the Middle East, and using tariffs as an economic cudgel are seen as his novel genius that only Trump could envision, contemptuous of prior presidents and Democrats as being too stupid and weak to understand.
He alone, acting alone has the power to bend all things human to his will.
Now, Trump's grand superhero fantasy world smashes squarely into reality. First domestically with his economic agenda crashing, his ICE Gestapo exposed, and his Epstein Class stubbornly harassing him, and in this desperate last gasp to salvage his narcissistic belief system, he decapitates the Iranian Regime.
Destructive actions are the easiest part. Cleaning up the messes and dealing with unintended consequences are the real challenges. Trump's incompetent collection of idiots and clowns will be challenged on all fronts. Buckle your seatbelts!
$3.50 for a gallon of gasoline? That would be a godsend for California.
As for Iran, this could be a win-win for Trump. If decapitation doesn’t lead to a stable government -- or even chaos -- he could walk away, declare victory with something like “I gave you people the chance of a lifetime as you blew it”
Or… if decapitation does lead to a stable government, even if it’s Islamic, Trump might eke out a victory in the midterms and be even more emboldened to wreak havoc on his domestic enemies.
Seems like that potential takeover of Venezuela oil may come in handy for the infamous donald. Good thing there still isn't a fresh new democratically elected government in place there. And not a fresh new democratically elected government standing at the ready in Iran.
Just two points. The religion of Iran is very much enmeshed with its government. Until there is a true revolution to split those apart, there will be no change. Secondly, this is primarily distraction for Trump. Don’t look at the Epstein files, look at all the other shit I’m doing. Not that one is any better than the other. They are both despicable.
sigh. I just paid $4.59/gallon in Seattle. I hate to think what is incoming. Luckily I don't drive much and only need to refill about once a month. But everything ELSE is going to go up--the cost of just getting products to stores is going to soar.

I am spinning in confusion.
