The loss of democracy, the fall of the leader of the free world, will forever rest with the Republican Party, and most specifically the member of Congress. I hope their names live infamy of the worst men and women in our history.
Trump is now deploying his regime’s legal mafia to thwart Congressional subpoena power by claiming conversations he has with persons outside the government are governed by executive privilege so outside “advisors” may not be forced to testify.
As with refusing to execute laws passed by Congress to constrain money laundering, this act is intended to hide corruption and criminality - guess whose? - from sunlight and accountability.
Criminality and greed are driving the MAGA mafia in all three branches of government and the powerful private sector that enables it. We must vote and litigate these lawless schemers out of power.
Tech amazes me ... that they can do all that tracing is incredible. The number of court cases and appeals related to trump family and this administration must be another costly expense. I jokingly suggested that we Canadians should launch a class action suit for damages to our personal mental health and the financial losses. Not joking when I say that I'd like to see other countries follow the UK example of fighting back. He's exempt from being prosecuted by US law but if other countries charge him in criminal court or launch civil suits, does he have any exemption?

When it comes to Iran and the Strait of Hormuz he definitely has missed the memo. The issue is that Iran is prepared to sit this out until that Felon leaves entirely. Venezuela's oil is extra-heavy, meaning it requires costly specialized processing and diluents to extract and refine before it can move efficiently. Major American or international reconstruction projects have been slow to launch if they ever will due to ongoing commercial and political uncertainty and money needed to invest in the reconstruction work.
