It's definitely interesting (and revealing) that Margery T-G could be a loud incessant critic of Democrats (all of whom she has called pedophiles) and anyone to the left of ... Nixon? Reagan? .. for five years and never have any fear for her personal safety. Within weeks of dissenting from Trump about the Epstein files, she announces retirement from politics because of fears for her safety and that of her family. So: who's violent in American politics?
Recall that Mitt Romney restrained from criticizing Trump during the 2024 election campaign because 'I love my grandchildren' i.e. because of threats to their safety.
It happens only in one direction, all the time at all levels of public and political activity.
Charlie Kirk is not an exception - his (alleged) killer is to the right of Trump. And fewer and fewer people seem to believe that the assassination attempt on Trump himself in 2024 was real - and the kid who held the gun and got killed for it had very ambivalent politics.
Apparently guns don't kill, people kill - and I don't much trust the people holding so many of the guns.

Thanks Mary! Yes trump was raised and taught to create his own reality and it has been masterminded into the script for all his followers and disgusting loyalists. They have created a system that has removed the safeguards, and have been taking a bulldozer to the foundation of the constitution. There is so much work to do to build a better, stronger union. It is definetly a benefit to live in such a beautiful place as this, where we can regain the peace of the moment.

On this final day of 2025, I'm reminded of Queen Elizabeth's Christmas Speech in 1992, her 40th year on the throne, where she called the year "Annus Horribilis". This has been one of those years for me. But I have faith that good things will emerge, develop, grow, blossom and bear fruit for what else can you do? Shine that light, Mary, and thank you.

The trail of fears is a horrific aspect of the Trump Administration which needs much more national attention. GOP leaders who fail the loyalty test are terrorized in their homes along with their loved ones. They are subjected to the vilest threats imaginable in anonymous phone calls and mail and packages. Too bad the FBI and DOJ are MIA. As Mary points out entire cities and states represented by “disloyal GOP politicians” feel the sledge hammer of cruel vindictiveness. Food programs for the very poor and forgotten are wiped away with the sharpie pen, clean drinking water projects yanked away, funded transportation projects and green energy programs frozen. Our ICE storm troopers are totally masked. Could it be that many of them were January 6, 2021 insurrectionists sprung from prison with pardons and now recruited incognito?
My heart goes out to the children in Minnesota and their families for being the target of a giant nasty monster that is Twump and his minions. This has been an exhausting and stressful year but we made it through and ICE notwithstanding, we will carry on. ICE, on the other hand, needs to be DOGEd instead of fattening up. Please, please, let's have a happier new year than the old one.
