Re: Greenland Energy: I saw a feature about this on Rachel Maddow's show last night and it succeeded, even in my advanced state of Trump induced cynicism--it succeeded in amazing me (and I mean mouth-open, WTF! level of amazement).
He and these oil-drilling flunkies are planting an ownership flag on this portion of Greenland--and the result will be somewhere between another embarrassing nothing-burger and an actual US invasion of Greenland...
Here's the way Trump figures it: He and his gig-job oil colonialists will shoulder their way into a place he's wanted to get his grubby little hands on for a long time... (*His stupid AI cartoons--i.e., like imitating a looming Godzilla over Greenland are always a good indication of which way his terminally sick mind is turning.) ...So--1) These clowns and their container-ship full of drilling equipment make a completely illegal incursion into Greenland. 2) A combination of local residents and, ultimately, some branch of the Danish armed forces/police try to throw them out, and 3) To protect these "poor" Americans from another "crazy" bunch of not-white people, Trump attacks this portion of Greenland with artillery, jets and marines from American ships in the area. ...Absurd and illegal--of course. But he's gotten away with so much already without any approval from Congress...
Two questions here: 1) Why is Denmark--and, for that matter, NATO--even allowing this ship of oil fools to land there in the first place? Are they paralyzed with disbelief like I was? And 2) Will the late, great, Congress of the United States--with the vestigial Constitutional power to declare war, allow this insane man to get away with this? ...I think, if they do, we can hose out the House of Reps and the Senate and replace those chambers with indoor dog races or large crypto-trading markets... The Republican Congress is already nothing but a bunch of clownish prostitutes-- Why let them take up space that could be used by Trump, et. al for a money-making venture...

Just as when you obtained questionable deferments to avoid military service during the Vietnam era, you recently abandoned Air Force 1, slipping out in a shipping container and transferring to another plane, thus leaving both assembled staff and press to travel and perhaps face death on a purportedly threatened aircraft.

During the past year I’ve read many obituaries of friends, strangers and celebrities. I didn’t shed a tear.
When I first read about Jackie’s passing I sat still for a long while, tears welling in my eyes.
I teared up with each additional reading.
And again as I write this.
Nobility, courage, unremitting commitment and undying love, when once shared, live forever in one’s heart.

I won’t be surprised about anything Trump does from now until the midterms. We should all be frightened. I think the worst is yet to come.
