Thank you for such a complete overview of where we stand and really what we must do which is to push back every way we can as individuals in and in groups. The one thing I wish is that the courts would impose sanctions or punishment for failure to follow court orders .
Lindsey Graham was deeply flawed and does not deserve the canonization that the Republican party is performing. This canonization echos that of Charlie Kirk following his assassination.
With Mitchell McConnell MIA (and very possibly dead) and Lindsey Graham dead, there is slim likelihood that the Senate can or will confirm new appointees to the Election Assistance Committee, leaving that committee essentially dismantled and unable to address actions taken by the Trump regime to interfere with the mid-term elections.

And work it must be - every person can add a few drops into the stream of resistance, by supporting independent, fact-based journalism like this newsletter; volunteering with state Democratic election protection and voter hotline teams; strategic donations to candidates and engagement in grassroots campaigns - including key state attorney general and other “down ballot” races; supporting the legal teams that are fighting in court (Mark Elias, Democracy Defenders, ACLU…); and staying informed and engaged.
In a two party universe, the vast majority of Democratic candidates, despite their range of opinions, remain more tethered to reality and the ideals of the Constitution than any MAGA loyalist. All are Trump targets confronted with tsunamis of MAGA billionaire-funded propaganda and need all the help they can get.
There is an old saying that we’re not supposed to speak ill of the dead. Have never believed death is some sort of celestial pardon. It doesn’t erase a lifetime of decisions. It doesn’t absolve betrayal. If we celebrate people after they’re gone because they spent their lives lifting humanity, then we owe history the same honesty when someone spent their public life diminishing it. Death deserves dignity. Legacies deserve scrutiny.
Lindsey Graham signed his name on the dotted line and sold his soul to retain his power, prestige and wealth. Disregarding all Americans, and the Constitution for his own self serving interests. He had countless opportunities to honor all those promises. Again and again, he chose otherwise. He empowered a Felon and this fascist regime to flourish..
Some men leave behind monuments.
Some leave behind cautionary tales.
Believe Lindsey Graham leaves behind the latter.

From an ecological standpoint, a spike in gray whale deaths is a major sentinel sign of an Arctic ecosystem collapse driven by rapid climate warming. Because gray whales are highly sensitive to changes in ocean conditions, scientists view them as "canaries in the coal mine" for the health of the entire Pacific Ocean and Arctic food webs.

Trump has already said he spoke with Graham just hours before he died.
According to Trump, Graham's last words before hanging up had to do with his desire to see the Save America Act passed.
Uh huh.
Well, I spoke to Mitch McConnell for about 20 minutes yesterday, and he said he'd had a change of heart. McConnell said he's now 100% against the SAA.

The Curse of Trump is creating long-lasting devastation EVERYWHERE. Grim.
