I hear echoes of what little Donald might have experienced as the child of Fred Trump: systemic abuse via a mix of tyranny with promises to relent if Donald bent to his ruthless will. Or maybe not.

Whether nature or nurture brought us here, the world is now captive to a sadistic parent figure seeking total dominance, with bombs and nukes.

How we humans continue to allow such pathological figures to rule our lives and futures seems a major design flaw in our species.

These are really no brainers that should pass in a bipartisan manner. The only exception is the 18-year Supreme Court term. Suggest a 12 year term. That’s it, once the 12 years are up, out and of course there should be a reduction in that pay after their term is over.

Retiring justices receive an annuity for the rest of their lives matching the salary of the office they are leaving. As of recent federal pay adjustments, associate justices make $285,400 / $298,500 and the chief justice makes $286,700 / $312,200 per year. Thinking cutting it by three quarters or even more because they can all find a job in the private sector.

Good start.. then there’s the Congress having term limits..

As for the war in Iran, there seems to be no exit ramp..

DonOld will never relinquish, will want to blow the entire country into oblivion because that’s just who and what he is.. doesn’t give a shite about anyone’s life especially our military, those lives aren’t even a thought process. These of course are the military men and women who recently arrived at Dover Air Force Base who gave the ultimate sacrifice to whisper in his ears that “Iran should never have a nuclear weapon” so keep on doing what he does best.. “everything he touches dies…”

Iran is a tough country filled with people and their ancestors who have fought through the Parthian and Sasanian eras, were that region engaged in centuries of continuous warfare against Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and nomadic forces. Even the Arab-Muslim conquest in the 7th century CE, the Iranian plateau saw centuries of internal conflicts, Mongol invasions (13th century), and the rise of the Safavid Empire in 1501, which fought frequent wars against the Ottoman Empire. Even in the 20th century during World War II, where British and Soviet troops jointly invaded and occupied Iran to secure vital oil fields. Decades later, the 1979 revolution overthrew the Western-backed monarchy, as well as years later.

Don’t see an exit ramp for the U.S. as long as this demented delusional epic of a failure is not called out by Congress and the people of our nation and be held accountable.. Midterms are less than 100 days and he and his regime are going to try and make it even harder to be held accountable to impede our voices, our votes. That’s our path now. The goal for us all is to remove Mike Johnson and John Thune as the majority leaders of both bodies of Congress.

Whatever the changes will occur with holding him accountable and his regime with a Democrat majority in Congress will be hard fought and slow in those two years while he has reign in that golden hellscape of an Oval. Keep in mind there may be a Justice on that Supreme Court that may retire within that two years.

Each of us are given a task to make the necessary changes and use our voices and Vote. Small steps each day to begin to run.. Make 2026 Midterms in November “To Big To Rig” and bring on that Blue Tsunami 🌊

IMHO, the Iran War ends when Congress intervenes. Trump and his Administration entered this war through incompetence, and will remain so for the same reason. The war is escalating. It is not only regional actors such as as Saudi Arabia, but it now gains non-regional actors such as China (diplomatic solidarity) and Russia (known trade interaction and intelligence sharing). The Nixon-Goldwater moment looms when GOP Senators go to the WH and say “the easy way (step down) or the hard way (impeachment). Hopeful, perhaps. Necessary, yes. There is no other remedy.

If there is any “good,” it is the Democrats developing legislation delimiting a president’s abuse of power from war to tariffs. Term limits to SCOTUS are great. What the Dems may offer is not partisan plank; rather, one serving the people and protecting our Constitution. Trump hints more so of a third term. We can thank the Dems joining the GOP post-FDR for preventing such an awful thing—presidential term limits. The Dems have the high ground.
