I love the word smarmy!

Choreographed outrage.

You nailed it.

I had the same thought. I don’t hear it too often but it is very appropriate description.

The entire administration is populated with opportunists who audition every day for their role in Trump’s latest TV unreality show. Governance as theater -with scripts more suited to a fictional farce than a serious undertaking with real consequences.

Back in the real world, few are cheering. Even good news from the Middle East is clouded with what past conduct portends for the future. Trump and Bessent live in a separate economic reality than that of 99.999% of Americans, many of whom can’t go through a day without the anxiety these billionaire elites generate so casually.

October 18 “No Kings” is an important milestone. Although media underplays it, the relentless pressure hundreds of thousands of Israelis put on Netanyahu with nightly protests over two years was a factor that (hopefully) brings the hostages home and stops the carnage in Gaza.

Mike Johnson is already into tearing up the Oct. 18th events and labeling the participants as terrorists. I think I'm going to wear a headband with the label of terrorist along with my no kings shirt and signage. Do you think it will look good on a 74 year old?

Blonde Bondi from Florida has been a foot soldier for Trump for a while. She is in competition with smarmy Noem for Trump's attention. Noem is followed by her camera crew and Benny Johnson to get sound bites for daddy in the WH. Bondi did not waste her shot getting daddy's attention in front of a defanged, declawed Congress. No matter how direct the direction, she obfuscated and she got away with it as Grassley snored off to the side. There will come a time when she sits before Congress without a title and a protector, where a lie means jail. We can only hope that those she smeared will remember and hold her accountable for her crimes.

A more honest resumé has never been written. May the same fates eventually be handed down as befalls such the selfish and misdirected.

The list is long……

I think we have finally at long last found Trump's true genius. He instinctively picks the least qualified, least ethical and most corrupt and the most willing to do anything to be at the seat of power people to surround himself with. And that may be all he needs to increase and maintain his power.

Some people, like Pam Bondi are so ugly on the inside that there is no place for the overflow of that ugliness except the face. This is what I saw while watching her "testimony". You want to feel sorry for such a person because you think it must be painful physically to be so rotten and devoid of any sense of morality, but no. She doesn't feel anything at all.

Sorry never enters my mind when watching her except to feel sorry for the American people.

A very apt description of Pam Bondi! I was initially shocked then had to laugh out loud when she was asked a question by Senator Welch, several times, each time she misdirected and ultimately said “I don’t know” to which he responded that she did know. Heck, even I knew the answer was “yes” and she scream back “Don’t call me a liar!”. Such a performance, albeit a bad one.
