It's where we are, Mary, and you've described it so accurately . There must be a moment in our future when this administration crashes and Trump heads for the helicopter flyaway after being deposed in disgrace just as Nixon did and we can breathe once again, older and wiser hopefully, than before 2016.

There's just no end to it, really, but what is most troublesome to me is murder in international waters. How is this continuing? Why is he allowed to kill people with no evidence of illegal activities?

I just discovered Gary Marcus, who writes about the looming failure of the AI bubble on substack. You probably already know him, Mary, but if not, check out the recent Royal Society one-day symposium on YouTube, at which he and other famous thinkers talk about the issue.

As ever, Mary, your description synchs up with reality. And, it is a beautiful day in southern Oregon. Sunny, crisp and clear. May our lawmakers be strong and clear in discernment as they sift through the daily word salad from that guy who shall not be named. Thank you for all you do to keep us grounded in reality.

i wish that the words of William Baude and Michael Stokes Paulsen could be printed on 10,000 billboards round the country... thank you for pointing this out... not much other coverage of this. i would have liked it had they done it before the election, not that it would have mattered.. prices going up, businesses closing down, yet his supporters remain firm in their adulation of him.... some cracks showing in the world of coal but i wonder how unaffordable things have to get before people realize that they have been "tooken"
