Despite all of the negatives, your post today gives me some hope. Thank you.

It's troubling that the Indiana State Senator had an issue with Trump's hateful rhetoric only after it impacted his own family. Was he OK with all the hateful things Trump has done and said since he took office? This smacks of hypocrisy to me!

At this point I’m taking the win without moralizing. Some people take longer to wake up.

Additionally, another Indiana Rep, Greg Walker refuses to go along with the redistricting scheme. HCR quoted him yesterday “I was taught as a child the difference between right and wrong, and this is just wrong on so many levels.” People are opening their eyes! Heads are clearing! Time for a crisp walk outside 🌞

in this case it feels more like a tipping point. We'll have to see how his attitude towards trumpism develops, or not.

Good grief, what a mess! It does feel like the GOP dominated Congress is wakening and just now reading the fine print of the Faustian Bargain they signed blindly. The expiration date is rapidly approaching.

The tide is turning and, you are correct, we must bellow at Congress to make America......America again!!

Glad to see today’s excellent rundown of this regime’s ongoing treason and depravity already has over 4 thousand FB readers!

As today’s essay shows, the cowards and enablers of Trump and his regime have lost any claim to innocence or ignorance. In plain sight, Trump’s cabal of traitors and criminals are abusing their power to destroy the rule of law and evidence-based democratic governance, for revenge and boundless greed. With every act and statement, they make clear their preference for sadists, financial felons, brutal assailants and murderers and America’s enemies. Like all sociopaths and extortionists, Trump and friends also saw how effective it would be to use government power to shake down their targets.

Still, it seems many of us aren’t ready to see or accept the reality of what’s happening. Why we in the unabashed opposition are critical to the fight. Thankfully, Mary’s dedication to truth and talent for communicating help keep us informed and motivated!

Just the same in the U.K. except Farage is not in power but currently has the most votes. His area Mayor (senior position) has been jailed for 10.5 years for selling secrets to Russia, he personally has 20 outstanding complaints against him by other class members for explicit racism (one for over 5 years) and a teacher backs them up. Farage’s reply is that he can’t remember that long ago and no one complained then as it was acceptable. I remember racial slurs from 50 years ago, branded into my brain, it was not acceptable. He is leading in the polls. I live in hope his good friend Donald meets his end and the idiots will stop looking at the immigrants and learn the lesson. I really worry about the future even if I don’t live to see it. Hence I am here, for unadulterated truth.

My thoughts on our Democracy after reading this is, like an old wooden ship, though she creaks, she holds. It is up to us to make sure she continues to hold.

I did not understand the reference to "r-word". I knew it was likely an insult but my mind wouldn't cough it up. I finally figured it out. Not a word I've heard out loud since I was a child. Avoiding most maga insults, I've missed knowing it's a typical one of theirs. It used to be "Commie" but with trump's affection for putin, that no longer works well.

I had to reach back into memories of my 1950s childhood to “get” the “R” word when I first read the news article of Trump using in comments re: Tim Walz. When my aging brain finally caught up, I had an immediate mental image of Trump imitating a disabled individual at a campaign rally. Having volunteered for Special Olympics in my younger days, the deliberate focused cruelty that is embedded this regime is gut-twisting.
