And that really means the ones who are rich enough to buy “freedom.” The hypocrisy is exhausting. But we will be out there today,too, and in the ongoing fight for what real freedom means: a safe and supportive country for all.
Topple the King! But ALSO demonstrate for the alternative: free elections, no vote suppression, a Congress that does the basics of its job; true progressive taxation including for the .01%; health care for all. Demonstrate for what we are FOR! That’s where our future lies!
Another infamous leader from the past with whom trump has some commonality is Idi Amin (Uganda in the 1970's). Gave himself awards and prizes, collapsed the economy, abused human rights , failed at the war he started, misappropriated government funds, supported by Israel and friendly with Soviet Union, broke diplomatic relations with Britain claiming he had defeated the British then added CBE to his title for Conquerer of the British Empire, racist in that he expelled Asians and maybe other groups, put Uganda into very poor international standing, inflicted political repression, practiced nepotism, tried to annex outside regions ... got this info from Wikipedia.
I'm hearing so many experts express their opinions about pretty obvious insider trading related to oil prices and stock market fluctuations. And it's been said on the news (I think maybe Scaramuchi (sp?) with Erin Burnett on CNN last night but not totally certain) that it's not difficult at all to trace the trades that occurred. If that's the case, then the next step would be who can and would bring charges? So that's one idea I have to start resistance ... maybe not doable but worth typing about. And the Epstein files ... surely there is someone in that very large group of people 'in the know' who is willing and able to speak out, again in the interest of charging perpetrators but also in the interest of resistance. Also can 'our side' promise something to Ghilane Maxwell for telling the truth since 'our side' is starting to show and hopefully have some power? Really happy and excited to see on tv that so many are out in the streets to support the No Kings Protest today!!! Be peacefully loud and have some fun while you're at it!!!
I'm leaving soon and my friend and I are both bringing shopping strollers with our small dogs in the top. We've also got extra sunscreen (it's a sunny day) and we meet people (and children) who enjoy dogs. They also help our backs when standing in place doesn't work that well. Several signs are on bottom shelf.
