No Kings Day is a tutorial on Constitutional Democracy, and an ad hoc assembly, needing to voice the displeasure of the electorate, prior to elections, observing the rapid decay and destruction of our government.
Trump's abuses will not stand. The tyranny is clear; our resolve has been mobilized.
No King's Day in San Diego was a roaring success. I was sitting on a grassy knoll (literally) in my walker with my sign "Pissed off Gramma" as the thousands marched past. So many came over to take pictures with me. We're all in this together and today we showed him our numbers. Can't wait to see the numbers for the world.
Good on Charles. Holding Andrew accountable will go a long way to shore-up the resentment of the royals, IMHO. The monarchy is not as popular in the UK as people in the US think. I spent a month in Scotland this year and the only people still beholden to these freeloaders are the older pensioner crowd. Even those folks are fed up with a dude that requires his shoelaces be ironed every time he takes his shoes off. So relatable, huh?
And William, the next King has a longstanding name of Bully. The last time he met Harry privately he punched him to the ground. You have to remember after his mother’s sudden death he was tasked with the job of looking after Harry. He pushed him then ignored him at his mother’s funeral (Harry was only 12) and refused to talk to Harry at Eton, a hellhole of a school with a careless family at home. Charles admits he did not like small children. William seems like he is following his father’s habits. When Kate was at her worst with cancer treatment her parents took her home and gave an official statement that she was in the care of her maternal family!!! She looks strained. William like his father has a ‘Man’ who puts toothpaste on his tooth brush and chooses and puts his clothes out for him. Married people of high status in the U.K. still keep to the rule of separate bedrooms. At least Harry got out of that hell hole but the U.K. press still hates his guts because he got out. William also seems to be unable to keep it in his pants, like his farther. The sooner my country gets rid of the expensive fiasco the better. They will keep their billions and estates though as all the other hangers on do. I currently reside in the country that gave rise to Madam La Guillotine. A nice difference to see people who do revolt and don’t worry about putting bad politicians behind bars or stopped from standing and they get heavily fined.
I got an earful while I was there and I thought it was just Scotland. They truly hate the monarchy there. Some of what you said is news to me (I absolutely believe it). These posers are no better the rest of us ... indeed, worse!
Russel Vought is the vole of the administration, and like all voles, he's slimy, lives in unlit corridors and appears to be (or is) 100 voles at once. All eyes and ears need to be on the vole, he works in the dark and yet there he is, his name popping up under inhumane words and actions. Unlike the cabinet members who primp and fawn for the king, Vought has the power of intellect. He is using his brain for evil and calling it godlike. These are the men to be worried about: the ones who take their orders from an unseen ghost-like all-powerful being who seems to love only those who bow to him: not the weak and needful, but the weaselly and greedful.
Excellent discussion and analysis. I love the title.
Let's not forget the Federalist Society-created Supreme Court, though.
