It's a world turned upside down. As Congress considers the War Powers resolution, let us hope it is with dual intent. Voting for the procedure and voting against the current wars and even those in the future. Our future depends on the intent they present to the people and the rest of the world. It is a fragile time !
I can't see how this is not just too late. We've already killed too many little girls, and I don't think we can just stop the war on a dime. I do think the entire admin should just be binned, some of them twice. Impeachment at the very least.
If Congress votes against the war with no intent to uphold that, I see them throwing away the rest of their ability to check and balance anything.
I copied and pasted the two longer paragraphs toward the end of this essay, identified Mary as the author, and used Resistbot to prepare and fax letters to my three representatives in Congress. I know from prior letters and responses these communications are received. The website explains the process - it’s simple and effective.
We the people must not allow Trump, Hegseth and the rest of the MAGA cabal to get their kicks through lawless violence and death, either here or abroad. The consequences of merely hoping this pattern will end are dire.
The lesson this regime seems to have learned from Iraq, Vietnam, Afghanistan is that it is just fine to start an aggressive war based on a lie. It has forgotten about the part where first you convince Congress that the lie is true.

2. WTF does Pete Hegseth know about running a war? His only experience of war is second-hand reporting.
And, as UK citizen, I stand by our Prime Minister's decision not to help US aggression. Unfortunately we now have to take a defensive posture from the aftermath.
