Epstein raped children. “Assaulting underage girls” is insulting to his victims.

I've maxed out for the day on how awful things are and how despicable is the man who routinely cheats at golf. Something witnessed and mentioned by reputable people and players. Cheating at golf gets one put on a "do not play with" list, if not kicked off the course and out of the club.

Two things... first of all, is the DOJ the only place where all of the papers connected to the Epstein investigations, trial, etc. kept? Nothing in NY or FL?

Your section on the tariffs, beef issue with Australia, Japan, etc. need to be on the front page of the WSJ.

I don’t understand why the Dems can’t stop him. What the hell is wrong with our constitution and laws that this fiasco can’t be stopped. And why isn’t there a way to legally stop him. Checks and balances…what a joke! The Republicans (yes republicans) own the Supreme Court should be impeached. What they are allowing isn’t a matter of opinion…it’s illegal.

The Founders set up a three-part system of checks and balances to guard against just such a corrupt person. The problem is, the extreme right has plotted for decades to put enough people in legal and government positions of power to effect a takedown of that system. So now they have a Congress and SCOTUS that simply rubber stamp what was laid out in Project 2025. They have nearly consolidated power under the president (who was never intended to have such power). Once that's done, they won't need Trump anymore (he's clearly becoming a liability) and can dump him. But the Rabid Right elitists led by Miller will, by then, have complete power. Any so-called elections will be Russian-style "elections" of their desired leaders.

Meanwhile, what can Democrats do? They don't have enough votes to stop this descent into autocracy. They can sue, they can yell, they can march, they can slow things down, and they're doing all that, but it accomplishes nothing. The Republicans in Congress are entirely complicit, even cheating any like Murkowski who dare to stand against what's happening, and totally ignoring the will of the people they were elected to represent. The propaganda machine keeps pumping out lies, and the fascists are taking control of the media, education, and libraries, and rewriting history. They alienate our allies, align with dictatorships, weaken the country at every turn ...

We are in a very bad way, because the checks and balances have utterly failed. I don't know how we stop it. We march, we write, we give speeches, and we win occasional victories, but Trump marches on, breaking laws and traditions and precedents and promises with aplomb.

How does this end?

We’re drowning in a sea of incompetence, corruption and official treason to the rule of law, truth and justice. If anyone has the files the Trump mafia is desperate to hide, now is the time to release them.

Will loyalty to Trump ever erode as his delusions and abuses add up to dangerous lunacy?
