When this is over, when (if) we have sanity and morals back in the White House, everyone involved in this blatantly illegal attack on the US citizenry must be held to account. ICE officers, whether on the ground or in command, must be arrested and tried for crimes. Those complicit in this, from ICE Barbie to Bovino, to any silent members of Congress, must also be made accountable. We as a society will not, and cannot, allow for this to be swept under the rug and allow for these cockroaches to scurry back into the dark that they came from. There's a reason ICE agents wear masks... they know what they're doing is illegal and morally bankrupt, but for them and this administration, cruelty is the point. It's only been nine months, but already I hardly recognize the country I was born into almost 60 years ago.
I keep feeling we'll wake up from this nightmare, as if it can't be real. If there was any kind of line between democracy and Trump's authoritarianism, we've long since crossed it. We're so deep into the dictatorship I fear we'll never find our way back.
We protest peacefully. We support campaigns for candidates across the country now, for 2026 and 2028 elections, who will prepare to clean up the three arms of government that includes impeachments and passing laws that ensure no one branch of government abdicates their responsibility to the Constitution.
So it appears ICE and DHS now have all the necessary tools for secret, unaccountable authoritarian surveillance and repression of any civilian or group Kristi, Corey or Bovino deem an “enemy”.
Unfortunately, too many Americans still seem to be “not serious people”, looking on as Trump’s unreality TV show unfolds with ever more deadly, illegal plot lines. A few judges and pro-democracy lawyers can’t carry the burden alone. We in the pro-democracy movement are building power but are not there yet.
Major institutional leaders, including legacy media, need to grow a pair and stand up to the Trump regime’s unconstitutional atrocities. Without more courageous leadership, millions of Americans are unlikely to wake up to the inevitable consequences of what is happening until it’s too late.

I also read that Trump will be placing 500 national guard troops in every state soon.... Prep for the mid term elections?
