I was a New York City public school teacher for 25 years, retiring about three years ago (the sharpness of time softens in retirement). I was a high school student in the 1970s. None of my high school friends were gay. That is, I should say, none of my gay friends were out. Thirty years later, because my school was progressive and a transfer school, we got the misfits, the dropouts, the disenfranchised, the victims of school bullies, the young moms, the artistic and creative and the kids who needed what we offered which was freedom to be the person you are at 16 years old. And just because I label these kids doesn't mean they weren't intelligent. They were. They were just unable to function in a meaner environment. They needed to be understood, not by one favorite teacher but by the entire school. Of course we had lots of gay kids: the screamers, the butch, the curious, the nervous, those still in the closet from their family, those who were not sure what they were. We got kids who were able to transition while in high school because our school was nurturing not judgmental. My point is, nothing bad happens when gay kids are out and can be themselves. And just as the community should not concern themselves with straight kids' sexuality, nor should they fret over gay kids' sexuality. Let them figure it out. Let them dance fer chrisakes.

Without doubt most have made mistakes, as also most pay the consequences . Why is one morally bankrupt , another Jesus/Mohammed/Ghandi never a brag just walkin’ the walk, teaching real justice.
When I studied Justice it stated ‘swift’ ..but no longer feels it IS swift due to FAIR considerations ie need for counsel,rights met. BIblically swift justice meant: not giving up.
And equal when I studied , met applied principle to all. To ALL.
No American ‘except after c …’ is permitted in equal ….‘ no colored need apply’ or “heathens all of ‘em” and currently dealt ‘no man is above the law’ .
There is no exceptions in principle.
But law? There is? Because it can manipulate the principle? What the forefathers wrote, conveyed …was what isn’t acceptable , what the best solution -equality for All meant, a solution.
We are approaching our 250th anniversary of America, near the youngest of a ‘civilized’ country/society . We have a long ways to go understanding principle and apparently ‘how to apply’ needs patient care.

The same sand and grit that propelled the Pilgrims to North America, was the very same sand and grit that rejected the Church of England's claim to be the only true Church. Two sides of the same coin. The former decision good, the latter not so much. We Americans make very poor followers and are particularly sensitive to strong men. This will not turn out well for this Administration.
As more and more people are exposed, it seems like at some point one or more of them will "talk". They are scumbags after all, and perhaps they will decide to take others down with them in typical scumbag behavior.
