Unfortunately it looks like we need a horrific action to wake up the 46%, and it needs to make the FOX news. So far it's not the multiple weather events that have killed people and destroyed homes with no FEMA response or the innocent people being rounded up with Nazi like brown shirts (ICE) in broad daylight

Sobering and astute assessment. The circus barker distracts while his cunning operatives inside the tent dismantle the constitutional Republic and unravel the social contracts.

In addition to Thiel, Musk, Vought and Vance, Stephen Miller’s odious brand of malevolence also shines through current administration actions.

The profound damage from what is happening isn’t complicated. Our society is certain to fail from soaring deficits and tariffs, loss of independent universities and judges who apply the law, disregard for basic individual rights, and consignment of the middle and lower classes to struggling for basic necessities while billionaires plunder at will.

How is it possible that almost half of Americans are ignorant or indifferent to the certain harm - to their lives and futures - of this anti-Constitution billionaires coup?

We once trusted presidential records to capture every word, but now they erase inconvenient truths. Trump's off-the-cuff speeches, such as his West Point address and mimicry of Putin’s points, aren't just gaffes; they distract us. His aides let him stir up chaos while hidden power brokers quietly rewrite policies.

His unpredictable rhetoric grabs headlines while dangerous moves hide in plain sight. Public infrastructure weakens, and safety nets crumble, all under the guise of spectacle.

As you noted in a previous post, Trump is as much the outcome as he is the leader. I agree with your entering comments, I’ll rephrase. The power arises from the Trump whisperers. Trump is the distraction. Give him his toys like a golden B747 and a podium. A few hundred million in baksheesh for hundreds of billions in opportunity is a damn good ROI. As we clutch our pearls, the real work to de-Federalize, de-legitimIze our government continues. In the movie “Wall Street” the not so fictional character intones, Greed is good. Sadly, that may soon be on the Great Seal of the President.

Keep pulling back the curtain to see 47's puppeteers: Miller, Vought, Theil, and musk. 47 owns the message of rascism, misogyny, and authoritarianism, but the architects of democracy's destruction cower in the dark behind him working the strings.

As 47's dementia worsens, it's removing any filters and internal guardrails that remain; expect more incoherent and unhinged rants, more extreme actions. How long before covering it up becomes impossible even for them?

The perversion of mores, ethics and integrity is breathtaking...not in a good way. Like the first stones falling in an avalanche of despair

Oh, I liked Mary's, "The Big Beautiful Bill, a name so ridiculous it may as well have been cooked up by a marketing intern hopped up on Red Bull and Reaganomics"

I'd like to see surveys include knowledge analysis of eligible voters. A few questions about what trump has done and trick questions, of course, to see how informed they are. No punishments if toxic substances dumped by industry into rivers and lakes. See if voters know if that's true.

Truly - what will be the tipping point. What will make Fox News. If nothing this far has. As an Australian let me unequivocally apologise for the Murdoch family.

Succinct unlike hours of Corporate news pablum and yellow journalism. We literally must get our news elsewhere. 1,200 counties in the USA are without local news. It's refreshing to read and write in Substack. I appreciate your insights.
