My big hairy question is: what are the enlisted folks thinking and feeling about all of this- the big meeting today and the National Guard troops sent to control citizens? Are they speaking to anyone anywhere? I'd really wish to hear about the conversations, impact and perspectives from these fine folks who make sacrifices for very different causes than the ones for which they are currently being used.
This morning Hegseth trampled on the Constitution and disparaged not only men and women in the military who’ve served our country with courage and dignity but all Americans who don’t bow to white Christian racism and misogyny - and even called President Biden illegitimate. He is a disgrace to the country, a traitor to the Constitutional Republic, and a useful tool for the Trump-Putin-Vance-Miller-Vought brand of European blood and soil fascism.
I can’t wait for Mary’s thorough take on Hegseth’s abominations and agree her clear eyed commentaries and dry wit are a refuge of sanity and truth in our 1984 dystopia.

The corporate media won’t cover it ,for obvious reason, the administration does doggedly pursue the ‘cult line’, sliding the threats daily ..to intimidate.
So, slowly the honesty,the standing our ground, the calls,the protest get a video out, coverage is happening real time, people are ‘coming over’, reality is sinking in and for many it’s painful , blessings requested.
The momentum grows, its drum beat louder day by day, the breaking point will be reached.
For those who have carried our American torch🇺🇸🗽 even while tarnished worldwide..I applaud you. The cracks have been displayed -those we need to shore up, to tighten our integrity, and work towards that ‘all are created equal ‘ goal. A sinking heart just sank even lower as I read the words and antics of Pete, the violator, and trump, dumba**, this morning. I have sunk to using profanity on a minute by minute basis as words just roll off my tongue now. I cannot quite believe what I see and hear! If there really is a Rapture, may I suggest it come for him and his followers now. I will gladly supply the koolaide and take over the car payments for those who had to leave their vehicles to ascend.

As a retired (O-6) naval officer, I wince at the thought of sitting through the Quantico performance. When will Hegseth do what he dreams of, and demand pledges of allegiance?
Where are the voices of the enlisted and reserve officers? There must be so many impacted yet they appear to be silent. What do they think about all of this? Is no one speaking up, even anonymously?
