Hate to criticize your masterpiece, but the tarp likely covers up also the amount billed for the work, minus the time and materials spent, minus the kickback to frump.
I don't see how adding another detail implies criticism. Shanely and her mum write clearly and prolifically, but it's impossible to cover every detail of the circus we are witnessing. I'll add another: What was the cost of that ridiculous spectacle of all those people vacuuming the pool? He hates to be laughed at, but gives us so much reason!
You are an amazing writer. Laying bare the idiocy of this administration with humor made my day! Keep going and don’t ever give up. We are out here and follow and support you.
Great essay..love the metaphors. In the great scheme of things what I find left out in all the Reflection Pool reporting is that Trump had his SUV motorcade drive over the pool while the paint was still wet leaving tire marks (confirmed via Snopes and images) and parked the SUVs on the concrete slabs is of small importance. However, in the interest of accountibilty among regime tales of box cutters and vandalism, the slabs are laid on marshy ground and were determined to be “sinking” prior to the Trump initiated repair project. What rational “builder” would drive onto the slabs with the paint even possibly wet (image displayed at Snopes indicates surface was wet) or not consider the impact of the weight of several SUVs on the slabs on marshy land? I know this is one of those “what about” comments that I’ve come to despise—sorry.
"Your uncle is rebuilding the shed and something went wrong" blue. Thanks for the apt description and chuckle!
That was great writing. Kudos
Once again -- A pleasure to read and completely apt and over-the-top metaphors. Brava!
Your last 2 paragraphs are especially memorable. Always a good read. Thank you.

Thank you for another great piece
