The message that has to keep being repeated is that the perks in the bill for lower incomers is temporary. The tax cuts will be permanent paid for by the many cuts in important programs. Too many Americans are either surface readers or get their news from Fox. Being misinformed is our downfall.

Dumping more problems on future occupants of White House seems a regular goal of republicans. Obama got GWB's financial hand grenade and Biden got trump's Covid aftermath. With future elections shaky, who knows what or who will be in front of a metaphorical firing-squad (felt I needed to clarify) when people die because they can't afford to go to a doctor or a pharmacy.

I wouldn't bet against Canada and Mark Carney just yet. Unlike trump he is capable of playing 4 dimensional chess and I believe he likely has an ace or two up his sleeve. And according to Canadian writers I've been reading, the digital service tax can only be removed by Parliament. I have much more faith in Carney and his intelligence than I have in anyone of either party in DC.

Trump is the front man for MAGA operatives who have long planned this multi-pronged attack on good faith government of, by and for the people in favor of authoritarian rule of and for the ultra rich.

The level of Trump-led corruption, cruelty and sheer destruction is overwhelming by design. The architects of Trump’s new world order know how hard it is for any opposition to fight back effectively when faced with tsunamis of bad faith misinformation and malign intent.

Democrats have yet to find their footing. The courts are hamstrung by process and the MAGA Supreme Court. Media is complicit and cowardly.

Trump has figured out people will believe anything if repeated often enough and in simple terms, and others can be intimidated or bribed into silence or obedience. Turning the tide from the “strong man” show to reality remains a challenge.

Shared , several times.

Your eloquence is needed, applauded, and hopefully motivates the fence setters by the thousands.

I will not hate the ‘perpetraitors’ (my newest ‘Pat word’).

But I will remember their names.

I will work to vote out every.one.who.voted.for.this BBB..bill!

I’m sorry but (this is what you strove for, we hoped for genuine, bipartisanship) hope it’s the last of the GOP.

I will continue to work to see equality rendered. Gerrymandering stopped. Citizens United stopped. Drs run Universal Health Care. Competent people in the WH. And even then will let them know when ..I don’t agree..cause everyone makes mistakes…but not everyone plots to destroy America.

I have positioned myself into an alternative lifestyle preparing for this, it came as expected though much later than I thought. I have cut down to bare bones budget, cancelled brilliant writers subscriptions ( thanks so much, sorry) and hopefully live to see this ended .

Thank you, Mary and Heather the two who inspire my aging mind most. Again, thanks to the others , and their audience..all worthy of …applause 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Trump is not called The Don for nothing. His Mob Boss style strong-arming the “Big Beautiful bill” comes complete with a Capo-style shakedown: vote yes, or expect a visit from the political goons— it's like it’s a scene from Goodfellas. Just wait until he finds out what's actually in it.
