It’s great to learn that some countries are finally learning that 🍊🤡 lies. He lies a lot!
Do not trust what he says. I don’t trust the members of Congress to actually do anything. Except talk. A lot. It’s past time for WE THE PEOPLE to do more. Yes I will protest. Loudly. But seriously it’s time for MORE!!
As long as those with wealth, power and influence continue to believe they will not be affected by this regime’s madness, or their best option is to keep praising the naked, deluded emperor’s dashing attire, we the people will feel we have little say in the course of events.
But moods and mindsets can change on a dime. Reality bats last. As real consequences of this regime’s corrupt, destructive agenda hit more constituencies, complicity and cowardice stand a chance of being replaced with effective pushback.
The people of Minneapolis are role models for shifting momentum to the side of truth and justice - the foundations of a functioning democracy. Showing up to No Kings 3 this Saturday still matters.
Even as a disabled, older man, we still go to each No Kings - a familiar feeling from back in our Vietnam war protest days.
But IMHO this is much different. From my study of history, Never has Fascism been prevented by non-violent protest once it has a sufficient % of the population in it's grasp: recent figures put support for a Fascist Gov't at nearly 40%.
Once such a large number are in support of Fascism, history shows us that only Violent Protest, up to and including Civil War and/or Revolution has a chance to prevent a Fascist takeover, and even that is not assured.
IMO, we lack 2 things on the side of a Republic run via Democratic principles:
1. A Leader to follow. They have theirs - we have?
2. A willingness to actually fight - violent fight - in defense of a democratic way of life.
Most people are just waiting for the next domino to fall while hunkering down.
I believe that will not be sufficient - nor will voting be sufficient - to prevent a long term Fascist gov't to hold to power, without a potentially violent response from citizens en masse.
Civil war ... or any en masse violence ... is a terrifying thought. However, you might be right that being peaceful and democratic are insufficient. I remember the Viet Nam war protest days too ... 'Make love not war'. I agree that this is much different. My impression right now is that Democrats don't have a solid and strong leader, they don't have a plan, they have been too slow for a long time, they are stymied by all this chaotic crime.
Mary nails it again..and I’m convinced this game being played will end badly and soon . It is quite obvious -even they know it -America is quagmired, and about to sink beyond recognition.
Few know how to survive such a depression…but it’s going to hit us all
Tesla’s robot factories and AI have been, the madness might suggest, the plan, either to directly replace workers and push them into vacated low wage jobs, or to replace missing workers, who are in camps or have been driven out of the country. In short, two grades of serfs, a reduced population overall, and White supremacy. Pandemics will help the plan and sure seem to be planned for. The model for the rest of the world might well be a series of playgrounds for the new elite, such as the planned Gaza Riviera. A terrible plan, not well coordinated in terms of timing. Hitler’s 1941 invasion of the USSR was made too early as well, also pushed on by the threat of deteriorating health. It is all horrible to contemplate, but it is one narrative that fits the big picture.
My first thought upon hearing “the very big present” and related statements was that he will drop a “small” nuclear device in the “war zone.” I’m a child of the Cold War/Cuban Missile Crisis years after all.
Where does the alleged big present fit in the oil insider trading timeline?
